Both are fine.

i use mkb and it was time consuming getting my keybinds right but now it feels like a breeze.
Though i'll say the default keybinds are horrid.

yah rebind stuff in M&KB and you can get a pretty good feel for it.

Controller.... But to be fair I play everything on controller 🤔

In the past Monster Hunter was console only and a lot of older hunters got used to controller by the time it reached PC with MH: Worlds. In that game I did prefer mouse and keyboard even for melee combat where a lot advice to use controller. As mouse with the correct settings has way more precise camera control. Even to the point I would say it becomes a must for ranged weapons.

But both do work fine, so if you are more a console player that feel controller is more comfortable go with controller, otherwise go with mouse and keyboard. Just check the settings to change a few things to make it feel the best for you. This last part is for both as the default settings have a few weird choices if you ask me.
Definitely kbm. Controller is limited to the few buttons. On keyboard you can customize it how you like.

Depends on what you're more used to play with. I play with kb/m, only issue is that they once again forgot the slow walk key, making it hard to navigate the towns without bumping into everybody. Other than that, you get more hotkeys and shortcuts, making it easier to go around.

kb/m is okay, but controller is much better.

There's actually a ton of customization for the controller too, you can swap a ton of buttons, make sensitivity curves etc, making controller easily the superior choice even for ranged weapons.

it depends of the weapon but now thanks to focus mode kbm is really fine
cool thanks guys just picked it up

Dunno about that, Controller already has 14 binds basically and that's without WASD.
Now with lots of controllers having 4 bind-able back buttons it's even better.
I suppose range weapons could work better with a mouse.
Like other people said you gotta really just try customize your keybindings to make it feel good for you if you choose mouse and keyboard and can't stand the default bindings

I couldn't stand World till I put a few specific things bound to the side buttons on my mouse and then it felt fantastic

I'm using one of those Razer Naga MMO mouses now and used their software to make the 1-12 buttons on the side do specific things in-game while the regular 1-12 on the keyboard do another functions blah blah blah

Feels fantastic, not a fan of reaching for keys too far or having to lift my hand/palm off desk to press certain keys, so pretty much the bulk of it is all done from my mouse

Just what I did anyway

Goodluck

wdym, a keyboard+mouse have anywhere from 70 to 130 binds, it'll never be close.
