Endgame Sucks
Guaranteed rare drops whenever you want on top of getting more monster loot in general completely ruins the endgame. It eases the grind but that also kills the longevity of the game, the grind is the reason why most people play these games past the campaign. You end up being able to craft a monster's entire armor set and weapon by hunting them TWICE, three times at the absolute maximum.

This is without even mentioning how the High-Rank in this game is BY FAR the easiest in the series. Players are so much stronger in this game with focus mode, wounding and all the improvements to weapons while the monsters are arguably WEAKER. The wound system in particular is fun but needs some serious tweaks to make it balanced, the Flayer skill is stupidly overpowered.

To clarify further, none of these things would be that bad on their own, a bit less grind wouldn't be unwelcome. However, all of the issues combined makes the endgame suck ass. Normal materials drop in way higher quantities by breaking wounds, rare drops are no longer rare so they may as well not even exist, hunts last a maximum of 10 minutes if you aren't asleep at the wheel, the monster variety sucks, and the game is so easy that you aren't incentivized to use any of it's deeper mechanics. It was a sad day when I realized that there was no reason for me to play Hunting Horn because a support weapon is BEYOND unnecessary with the way this game has been balanced.

The end result is easy hunts that never last longer than 7-10 minutes where you almost completely invalidate the monsters entire existence once you kill them two or three times. That's the antithesis of Monster Hunter.

If the game released with as many monsters in the roster as GenU, it'd be a welcome feature, somewhat. However with such a small roster it's kind of depressing how easy it is to acquire all of the parts you need. Things already feel cheaper, armour costs seem to be halved due to the fact there's now male and female sets you can make so the cost is split between them, and wounds just crap out endless monster materials on top of the guaranteed quest and bonus rewards. Plus y'know with a bigger roster there's more variety and fun beyond mere grinding stuff out.

Eventually they'll probably add the ability to meld monster parts too at some point.

At least there seems to be a running theme that you're supposed to sacrifice monster parts as melding fuel for armour spheres and decorations etc, but next week we're getting an event quest that'll crap out spheres and I mean you can already just farm Nightflowers for like 1200 point value melding fuel anyway so yeah.

It is a pretty terrible endgame. I actually didn't mind the deco hunt from World personally, it kept me slaying everything I could. Now I'm not even sure there's a point to killing Tempered monsters at all, because Artian weapons seem thoroughly meh.

For sure the end game grind will expand with future Title Updates, right? Or do you think it'll just be typical power creep?

If your process of playing this game is "I am done cause I have all the items and upgrades" this is not the game for you. The point is to enjoy the gameplay loop and hunt for the sake of it. Too many items? make every single armor set and weapon. I guarantee you have not done that yet and you can.

They've made the game more accessible and that is not a bad thing it makes it much easier for newer hunters to approach and play the game. The game is a cakewalk before Master Rank anyway. Not sure what the problem is here. If I can kill Arkveld in the beta on 20minute timer any extra gear isn't even needed.

You're basically advocating for making the game harder/take longer/grind more which will put off some players. Why do you want less players? You want the games longevity to be...well longer with more people.

Also whoever said Artian weapons are bad is whack, i have a 700 damage dragon weapon, you need to keep grinding that ♥♥♥♥, that's the real end game.

Hunting monsters for their materials so you can make better equipment IS the gameplay loop. It ALWAYS has been, since the very first game in the series.
Hunting monsters just for the fun of it is nice and all but that's not what keeps the majority of people playing, especially when the monsters are easier than they ever have been.

Im also sick of people acting like a game trying to appeal to a wider audience is always a good thing. It's not. Not every video game has to be made to appeal to the widest possible audience. World hit a nice middle ground in my opinion but Wilds has taken it too far.
What endgame? I mean, 40 hours in the game and I'm done, no reason to keep playing other than for the sake of fighting the monsters. No need to farm anything, already have the best weapons in my class, dont need armour with any resistances because the game isnt too hard. Worst MH of the series by a LONG way, MH games have always kept me busy for weeks with stuff to do, I've exhausted the worthwhole content in 5 days.
Man I'm sorry that the grind is short but I don't want the experience of doing 39 lunagaron hunts just solely for the mantle in this game. Sure maybe tweak the drops a little less but this is a pretty decent system. Especially if they want to incentive us to use the dual weapon system now. Also I'm pretty sure the main gameplay loop IS going back to hunt the same monster to get better at the fight or with a new weapon type. I mean at least for me, snce I've done multiple playthroughs using solely different weapons in previous entries.

Than I would say Monster Hunter is not the type of game for you, but clearly they made this game trash for people who don't want to grind monster.

The joy of building a set, or getting the items I need for a certain weapon is gone. This is yet another game that people come in, and ruin.

This is getting old, and fast.

I had to farm without hyperbole 109 Gravios once looking for a drop to make a LBG. This is better.

Dude I am only 20 hours in and almost done. It's boring. World's not open enough and weirdly built IMO. Kind of sad tbh.

Nothing is funnier imo than fighting 25ish valstrax with my friend who desperately needed its gem, while i was getting a gem from it at worst every 3rd time and at some points getting multiple gems from one fight.

It would really suck to be on the other end though. I farmed for shield jewel 2 on world for at least 10-15 hours and got nothing. Learnt how to mod the game to get it the day before they added it to the elder melder
Having farmed Xeno'Jiva & Lunastra in World to make all Dragon and Blast Xeno' weapons in World...

I welcome the focus rare-drops and more drops overall! Already on my way to all fully upgraded Gore and Arkveld armor and weapons!

Shield jewel? Try attack 1 jewels on base world...

There are plenty of people whom did not get more then the one given in as a quest reward.

Tis the whole reason CC made greatest jagras.

I myself found ONE additional attack 1 decoration in ... 300 hours XD
Honestly by the time i eas trying to get attack jewels I'd learnt how to mod. This game i get decorations naturally by fighting instead of needing to complete niche quests 50x in a row so i havent felt the need to mod anything.

90% of the reason i learn to mod nowadays is to get full earplugs but it looks like they've had some common sense and made it have only 3 levels to it so i dont need to mod anything in
For someone like me who has a life away from videogames, this game is amazing. The lack of a grind is one of the main reasons I love this game actually. I can hop on and actually feel like I am getting somewhere without spending my life on the game. It all comes down to perspective man. Where you see a problem and "♥♥♥♥" as you I believe you called it, someone else sees treasure, and a good freaking game. Because to me, this is a good freaking game. Go waste your life on WoW if you just want to spend all your time playing video games.
Less grind is good (not the same with no grind)
Sorry for the people who dedicate their entire personality on a singular game.

I'm not even talking about having a life, but as a gamer, there are other games out there that I'd want to enjoy and put time towards.

If you can't enjoy the game without the carrot on a stick format, then you need to find a motivation / goal in your actual life. Because a game that offers you carrot on a stick and keep you forever chasing is honestly such a bad coping method.
I do like the current system, but I want to make custom Armor with different parts, different skills etc. Just having weapon is not enough, and also no Layered weapons means I don't even want to farm that ugly sword.

Endgame is quick you get what you want very fast and it's done. Put the game away and wait for new content. Or go completion mode with doing all side-quests, all crowns etc.

Monster Hunter isn't ''Infinite game'' It has point where most people will stop. It's not MMO with gear treadmill. People set goals for their own fun, finish them, and move on. And that cycle is healthy, not only for you but also games.

70$ for an experience you yourself define as quick and done. Did mommy buy the game for you? I expect hours worth of my wage to buy something more than "very fast and its done". Also you say that MH isnt a MMO and that it isnt infinite but then immediately say make your own goals. MH isnt a sandbox game -gasp-, its CLEAR that its main drive is to kill monsters and make gear.
i agree

wild's depth is simply too shallow
