Reached HR ending. No Classic Elder Dragons Appearing, have i only reach a fake HR ending or there is really no classic Eldies like Daora, Teostra, Kirin, etc

5th gen spammed these kushala reskins to hell and back and theyve eaten roster space since theyve been introduced, think you can go one game without another appearance in favor of new/returning elders that havent been seen in a long time in the future

That's why I'm confused why people are upset about there being new monster subtypes with new mechanics instead of repainted Kushalas with bigger farts.

Well if you paid attention to the story they explain that Zoh Shia was created by Wyveria as the ultimate guardian. It makes sense there's only one of them and you can't rehunt it. Though there might be others out there and maybe that is the surprise monster in TU1. We'll have to wait until april to see.

Zorah is a naturally occuring Elder dragon and makes sense there are multiple to hunt.

Elder dragons are just monsters that don't fall into a specific categorization like Bird Wyvern, Brute Wyvern, Carapaceon, etc. Each unique quest is a different individual of the Kushala Daora species for example. They aren't just a weird one off monster that is ancient and all powerful. Though certain ones are incredibly rare, like Lao Shan Lung simply due to their size.

The devs said they had been dropping too many elder dragons that they didn't seem special anymore. wanted to focus on Apexes and Guardian

we'll definitely get Shagaru Magala/Chaotic Gore Magala

if do get any before G ranks i would think they would be guardian variants. This a new realm is pretty in line with the balance of the weather so an elder dragon would be more devastating than normal....also some zones are kinda small for them imo. Iceshard Cliffs and kush would feel like an old MH nightmare

it'll be the classic the EDs are seen at the problem, but really it was something else forcing them into these new areas as per classic MH story telling.

Story lore is fine and all, but lets face it we're playing this game to kill monsters and make them into hats...and checking in with Gemma to find (as I suspected from it's drops) that it didn't have one was a bummer. I don't really care what excuse they need to write in to make it repeatable, but I hope they do so. Hell they could have at least provided us with a cool layered armor if they really wanted to insist on one and done.

I could see Namielle coming back in forest, pretty much pefect zone for them IMO (would be fun to them fight it out with Uth Duna). Kirin in the lightning storm, and Teostra in the fire also seem like a no brainer (kushala can f off though I don't want them back).

It would technically be considered one because the only criteria for being an elder dragon is "be really old and strong" and gameplay wise "ignore pitfalls and shock traps". This makes makes Jin Dahaad an elder too by technicality?

think Jin Dahaad is technically one. Its unaffected by traps, can't be captured, and is probably really old as well as could probably change the ecosystem really bad if it moved to say the plains or forest

Did ever occur to you that they have a good reason not to have any Elders upon release? They likely have a roadmap already, and plan on giving us elders either with a Title Update or they're saving them for the future Expansion.

They might be waiting for G rank for all elder dragons to make them actually feel powerful and like they do change the ecosystems like in the lore. In the older games it never made sense that a G rank rathalos could be stronger than a high rank elder dragon and they seem to be focusing more on the ecosystems in this one.

If they do my game is bugged, my palicos traps never work on it and my pitfall trap didn't. Haven't tried shock trap besides palico shock trap

MH Explore had the most insane crossover and monster list. I wish they would get wacky with the cross overs again.
