Charge Blade SAED Combo doesn't work?

Am I crazy or something? The "Super Amped Element Discharge Combo" displayed in the training area stops at "Amped Element Discharge". Clicking B+Y during any part of the combo doesn't use the SAED. My charge phials are filled to bursting, is there something I'm missing?

I have charged it always via wounds that I never notice a perfect block would do too. Not that I can imagine when it would make sense to wait for a perfect block when creating wounds is so much faster.

Also to note spem attacks open a weak spot, like a monkeys fort opens a weak spot in its bum... no not joking lol
Abd many breath attacks from poison or fire open one in the mouth. Also the spider when it extends its claws to clap you, they become a weak point. Plenty of non breaks can expose it, so that's cool.

Yeah, as Lancer/Gunlancer I too get easily blocks like that - it is just more a thing of: if it is already charged from wound, you would not notice a perfect block charges it too.

Pretty much, but the flex value is funny.

Great alternative if you are playing with a bow or dual blade user too as they tend to prioritize ans get better results from wounds, also prevents unwanted friction, some people are weird with wounds

there's some good charge blade guides on youtube to watch...

but bascially you need to charge your phials first.... then load the phials into the shield.... either through a combo chain of certain attacks.... or just RT + O (hold).....

I like the latter for charging it the quickest.... that means you can charge em to red.... then load them all into white phials.... then charge em red again to overcharge em.... but that second time you instead can hold O to double charge them AND charge your shield in one move

as for SAED spam.... you basically have to use triangle and circle to do normal AED and triangle and circle again for the SAED..... but..... one cool thing is that if your in focus mode at least for the SAED... you can rotate your camera up to 180 degrees and change your aim

All you need for SAED is charged shield.

So basically Hold B and release to get charges, charge up shield and then spam B when Axe mode is out then the SAED option will pop up at end of autocombo - or hit Y&B while at least 3 charges to manually go to SAED rather than the autocombo.

Yeah charging the shield is what it took, they should really add info about that in the training area when they put the combo on-screen XD Thanks guys

You need charged shield, which is the first thing to prioritise at the start of the fight and then filled phials to do the after burst damage otherwise it will just bonk the monster.

Get charged axe mode by perfect blocking and then Y/Triangle or focus attacking a wound or after a mount finisher on a wound.

You have to AED before you can SAED unless you block first then you can go directly into SAED as long as your shield is charged for both of these situations. Doesn't have to be perfect block.

Still hate that this is a thing but they decided to make Savage Axe so broken so what do.
