Same happened to me, Apparently there is no fix unless you had a cloud save already active. If you did just delete your stored saves and re-verify saves

72 hours? christ almighty, don't you have a job? the game deleting your save data was a favor, go outside. get a job. be a functioning human.

Some people have more time than others. Retired, disabled, financially stable, etc. Not all game time is actual "Game time." some people leave their games on while they are out/asleep as well. Eitherway, don't be rude because the person has more time to enjoy themselves. They asked for help, not insults.

While you aren't wrong about certain scenarios existing, I've been around gaming communities long enough to know it's safe to assume otherwise 99% of the time, especially this close to release, which is when the majority of terminally online people come crawling out of the woodwork. I don't feel bad about what I said at all. 14.4 hours per day on average since release is ridiculous. Time to reconsider life decisions.

Always make a backup as described here in tip # 16:

if you have not created a new savegame yet there is a good chance to restore it.

That sucks.

I think World has a folder inside the game install location called "savedata_backup". Is it possible Wilds has something like that?
