Gore Magala NEEDS A NERF
This thing is way too fast for how big it is, It's moveset makes it near impossible to dodge or block everything because the attacks come out way too fast and all of them can insta combo kill you, even with full rarity 7 armor.

I've tried everything people tell me, Bow, Sword and Shield, only dodging the punches etc but this man always gets me down to the last 5 minutes of a hunt on my last faint when I can pretty much solo every other monster without fainting once

Is there some sort of trick to this guy I'm not getting or is he meant to be so horrificly overpowered you're not meant to fight him(at least Solo)

what this guy said. every hunt i do is under 10 mins. even the tempered ones which is crazy weird, imo. i remember in world first going up against a tempered kirin was scary. that mofo could easily 1 shot you, so you always had to be on your toes with it. hell, that monster and a lot others have always been that way.

My brother in christ the last thing we need is a nerf to one of the very VERY few monsters that give us a good challenge bc the rest of the roster has the monster holding a gun to its head ready to pull the trigger when they see you.

thats just skill issue, the only real monster that is "unfair" is the na udra since his walking hit boxed are bugged and even then its still fair for the most part.
Your death and carting to na udra is a skill issue. The hitboxes arent broken, klu ya ku is.

They did Gore Magala so much justice this game, I love my baby boi so much.

Hes definitely a lot harder than he was in 4, Gen or Rise, he has some new shiny moves, and hits much harder than I remember, esp on his more telegraphed attacks. In those games hes a bit more of a pushover, and once you get how his moves work, he still kind of is.

I play DB this game and I can take him down in about 8 minutes or so with an unoptimized build. For me, until you're comfy, prob just slot in/grab a piece of gear with evade window to get more reliable perfect dodges. Even just 1 or 2 is good, and it makes your perfect dodge really reliable if you are patient enough to notice his wind ups, which can really amplify your offence alongside power surge. If you want a really good time, grab the G. Rath weaps and get some Weakness exploit for some no sharpness losing shenanigans, as Gore is also weak to Fire, especially on his legs/wingarms as I recall

He don't need a nerf, on the contrary, I'm glad he got this buff as now he is much more of a threat, and is a very fun fight.

Ya got this champ, good luck
gore magala is the worst monster in the game

half of his moves are practically instant, his exploding breaths are just broken, i'm not even sure you can iframe them? if you block them you'll lose half your health, his 180 instant slam+follow up is basically a guaranteed kill in every single group ive ever seen

but worst of all he just doesn't have hitzones, you just can't do damage to him, not only cos you literally just don't get to hit him

farming tempered gore magala constantly (since its the best 'standard' all around weapon) and one of the best sets is just so annoying, practically impossible to solo, and 4/5 groups fail the hunt

sounds like a skill issue.... Go hunt tempered kirin in mh world or kirin with broken horn in iceborne xD

No
You know, it's hilarious how gore is the ONLY monster that newbies have troubles on, the LITERAL second to last monster. Anjanath, Nope, Rathalos, Nope. Not a single monster has had huge "oh this monster is too hard" posts like gore. and the game is called hard.

Gore's attacks Aren't practically instant, they're all readable they're just fast. If you're loosing half your hp and you're blocking you're not perfect blocking nor you have Guard Up which reduces bleed through. And slam is avoidable is you JUST STAY DOWN. you have invincibility frames that prevent any damage done to you if you stay on the ground and not recover right away. you WILL eventually get up automatically but this is how you avoid Big followup attacks.

His head, and hand (the wing hands) are hitzones. If you're truely having problesm, just aim for the tail as hardly any of his attacks reach behind him.

Now for some additional advice, pay attention to your STATUS. look at your HP bar, you see that guage that's filling up, that's the frenzy virus. When that fills up, Gore does MORE damage to you. you got to eat nul barries to keep it low until you do enough damage to Basically power through and become immune a few seconds with higher affinity.

How do you know if the gauge was filled, you'll get a red mist icon that replaces it. this is the danger zone and you need to play defensively, not aggressively. If you have a blue mist icon, you're in the clear.
jesus kid gid gud the game is nor that hard stp crying and put evasion distance an evasion in your set and learn how to dodge attacks
I'm an average gamer. Like legitimately it's not that hard. You are probably mashing. You can get away with being super careless in this game and Gore Magala maybe is like 10% harder than the rest of the game and slightly punishes you. 3 carts is pretty lenient still. This is nothing compared to previous entries.

Not even sure if you will read this, its been 5 days. You probably beat it already. I can agree with you gore is definitely harder than arkveld to a certain extent. However, apparently the next TU will have a harder monster than current tempered IIRC. This are just come ideas that I think will help you.

Do a observation. Knowledge on the monster's moves, patterns, and openings are inherently more important than a knowledge on a weapon. If you want a proper explanation, watch gajin hunter's video about this. However, the TLDR is spend some time studying the monster's move then figure out openings. You do this by running around sheathed for a while then attacking. Then trigger enraged and then figure out the new moves. This works best with hammer or greatsword but can be pulled off with other weapons. However, just use the weapon you use the most and is most comfortable with.

For example, Gore's moves some to list (Top of my head).
Triple fire ball -> Stand inbetween middle and a side then punish
Wing attacks -> Dodge to the inside and punish head
Roar -> Dodge to punish
Sweeping breath attack -> Move into him and punish
If you did not notice wing attacks will always show which wing before hand so you have a moment to act.

Then by doing these punishes which leads to wounds or staggers and this creates more openings to pull out your more powerful combos.

Another idea I can give you is utilise status/traps. You have a entire arsenal to beat him including the items you bring in. Paralysis and sleep is really strong in this game compared to world so utilise it well. Helps creates free openings to deal damage.

Skills that can help you:
Divine blessing -> Chance based dmg reduction
Evade window -> Increases your iframes to 20+ for dodges
Defense up -> In its name

Food:
Eat veggies or fish with garlic and honey
Garlic -> Moxie (prevents instant kill)
Honey -> Increases healing amount (IIRC)
The Gore doesn't need a nerf and I hope it never gets one. It's an apex level monster and SHOULD BE HARD TO FIGHT. Please don't ♥♥♥♥♥ about the core game mechanics being unfair when that is how this game series has worked from the beginning.

Bruh... We need gore to stay the same and buff every other monster lol

I did it with dual blades dodged most of the hits
I gotta disagree. He was too easy. As was every monster in the entire game.
