Please be more like Rise, less like World
I know it has the same art style as world but I really hope this plays more like Rise. I really enjoyed how fast paced Rise is. As someone who has literally played every game and started with MH on ps2 world was my least favorite MH game. Bad weapon and armor design in the series.

Agreed with the fairly bad weapon designs alright. Each to their own though I loved world. I enjoy rise a lot too but I prefer world and its pace. I think rise gets too crazy with the wirebugs and all the jazz. I feel like a shinobi ninja dude spiralling around the place when I want to be a heavily armored knight with a switch axe lol. I prefer worlds more grounded slower approach. Each to their own though as I said. Delighted with the changes they are making as a result of beta feedback. Switch axe is getting another look at and hitstop is coming back :)

The next game like Rise will be released after Wilds and its DLC.

MH games go "Serious game" > "Casual Game" > Serious Game" > "Casual Game"

Rise and Sunbreak were the mobile more casual oriented fun game, and Wilds is the next "Serious" full title.

God no..... Please play nothing at all like RISE.

I'm absolutely ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ tired of the fast paced gameplay of modern MH, things need to be slowed down so positioning is more important. The action gameplay is starting to harm the franchise, difficulty is becoming an issue the team just can't nail because the only way something becomes a threat is being aggressively and frustratingly fast, or an excessive amount of one-shoting gimmick moves.

Thankfully I played the demo and things felt slightly slower than world.

Tired of the gimmicks monsters have, I'm tired of spazy monsters, its getting old.

I agree on the concept of more varied movesets, actually having monster variety, and not having clutch claw.
I swear to god if we get another game of 70%+ brute wyverns I'm going to be pissed.

Already quite upset Wilds lance doesn't have shield charge and the shield bash ender.

I would also not call Generations/GU a casual game, by any measure.

GU is casual in the sense that it's less grounded than 4U, World, or Wilds.

Rise moveset sucks compared to world. Lots of moves became useless because they buffed others too much or because of wirebug skills. I'm going to use DBs as an example. Every move in World has a use; sixfold for medium commitment damage and building gauge, fade slash for low commitment, and roundslash to change attack direction.

They're all useless in rise because demon flurry is too powerful. You get good damage, a gap closer and can change direction with that one move. Archdemon mode is completely useless once you get infinite stamina.

There are so many other action games with simple movesets. Some of the "clunkiness" in MH makes it so you can't mash buttons on autopilot.

GU is absolutely casual if you play adept DB. Anyone half decent can solo ex deviants with it. Just another example of the terrible balancing between styles/movesets by the GU/Rise team.

Yes, World is useless, but at least the basics that worldbabies learned, and you should move on to the next level.

MHWilds' background is MH4, which is confirmed in the recent media demo.

Sunbreak style combats are far too counter-based for certain weapon types, and what I highly suspect weapons with "offset attacks" will cause problems as maniac as lance has been in the recent series.

Latest news is that hammer's uppercut does not cause friendly fire. Shock Absorber deco will be in game.
