Monster Hunter Wilds

View Stats:
GTX 1060 6GB + i5 8500 + 16GB RAM = ~15FPS
GTX 1060 6GB + i5 8500 + 16GB RAM = ~15FPS

These are my current specs and their resulting FPS. I didn't expect any better so no tears shed. Just posting this here in case anybody has a similar rig and wanted to know how poorly it would run.

All on absolute minimum Graphic settings, obviously.

While your CPU is old and this game is quite CPU intensive, I think there's still performance to gain with a better GPU, but ideally you would want to replace both.

If you get yourself Kingdom Come 2 you can play that game at 1080p 60-70fps with balanced upscaling and no framegen lol.

Sure he can, cause KCD2 on a technical standard is a 2018 game
Ah that sucks frend, hopefully you'll get a rig upgrade in a year or so and we'll see you in the Wilds.

Thanks for sharing.

So is Wilds dude lol about the only thing in Wilds that looks current gen is the effects and thats it otherwise it's not much more impressive graphics wise than World.

Like you would have a point if Wilds was pushing graphics like Alan Wake II,plague tale requiem, or Senua's Saga: Hellblade II.

They made MHWild totally from scratch with way different system, and very different engine then World. Do you even understand world runs on MT engine?

And no, They didnt use Rise's version of RE for this either.

Yea it's almost like it wasn't a good idea to take a engine build for hallways corridors and small limited environments and small amount of NPcs to then build a open world game, we're at two game's in a row that both perform just the same way and have the same problems with the CPU.

Wilds looks like a game that could have launched on the PS4 a last gen game but yet it's so demanding of a game that it causes even the most powerful hardware on the planet to hit limits.
This was just a bad move to use the RE engine which was never built for open world games.

RE went from making the best some looking game's and best running game's to a average outdated looking game that doesn't run well at all.

Like what? RE4? A game with a notorious amount of NPC's you gotta fight? :P That isnt a game with just few npcs.

That game ran well because it was optimised for PS4.

Village was released on switch.

Point here: They didnt utilise next gen power.

Once again, World's minimum requirement, a 760 could not play world even close to 60. 960 hovered around 60 on low.

So to even reach playable higher settings (You sure as hell wernt going to get 120 fps) you had to have 1080 or better, and that gpu was current.

And sure, you like other games better graphically.

Then why play them not?

Why did you even play starfield? XD

I got Starfield to mod it base game sucks ship biulding is awsome combat is well Fallout, but it makes a killer Starwars game modded.

But your just proving my point Wilds doesn't look like a next gen game with next gen graphics it has last gen graphics which you would see on the PS4 and it's not doing anything we haven't already seen in other open world game's which also look better than Wilds from 2015-2018.

But yet it's asking for such demanding hardware and it's so performance heavy you'd think the game might look like, Alan Wake II,plague tale requiem, or Senua's Saga: Hellblade II, with actual next gen looking graphics but sadly Wilds graphics aren't much better than Worlds graphics, that's the very thing you keep to forgetting or choosing to willfully be ignorant about.

You keep defending a mediocre graphically looking game that is one of the most demanding game's in the last decade for no good reason.
My entire criticism about the game is just it's to demanding for no good reason, gameplay is fun the game doesn't need next gen graphics but yet it's asking for next gen performance that makes even Star Citizen blush.

15 fps is alright

OP don't worry you can make the 1060 a 4090 with Lossless scaling with x10-20 framegen lol.
