MH Rise + Sunbreak is just awesome.

You don't have the level of immserion MH World + Iceborne has to offer but there is still many things to explore on the maps.

The combat is top notch and I like the endgame grind options.
It also got many free content upgrades, so you have many things to do if you want.

Ultimately waiting for a Wilds sale and therefore also for a more refined version will give you the better experience.

Rise is a very different playstyle and graphic style, mh wilds would be closer to mh world if you want to scratch that hitch, you can find a lot of video on yt if you want to see what rise gameplay is like, it's a lot more arcade looking and fast pace

I think that a more arcade playstyle is better for me, because i can't play many hour at the moment

I never played mh series so i want to try if it fits my wish

To specify, i love action rpg
Rise was made by their 2nd team.

The 2nd team is not their main team.
Their focus are handheld releases and their targeted audience is way younger.

It was said, multiply times, by the developers and publisher themselves, Rise is not part of the main series.

Rise "can" be fun, but it's also the worst Monster Hunter. It's an action fighting game.
You are pretty much given 6 different tools to keep on fighting and being allowed to do mistakes, because they wanted to make sure that children, aged around 16, are capable of actually making it to the endgame.

It's not an "action rpg", it's an arena fighter.

its more arcadey and fast paced, less "immersion" but battle mechanics are very good.
Some progression mechanics were miss imo, but new or returning monsters were almost all pretty good and presentation of the game overall is great. Play it for valstrax and malzeno.
My main complain how they slightly homogenized weapons and focused so much on counters, but its not that critical.

These games are not action rpgs.

You dont level naturally. You dont 'gain' skills naturally.

For instance, You'll always have a max HP of 100 in World. The only time you're going over that is with Health Boost Decoration (Which is a bassically a gemslot) and food.

The only etxeption is fatalis set which give you +100 HP on to of that.

Yeah as other mentioned, MH are not action RPG, they are action games with progression only through gear and your own skill as a player, series overall demand lots of learning of mechanics, understanding of weapon movesets, armour skills and builds with them etc
Rise kinda simplified many elements to its perfect for newcomers imo, also it increased overall speed and reactivity of gameplay, so you shouldn't think all MH plays like Rise, older games are much more methodical and slow, movements are weighty, animation lock is a thing.
Yes, Rise and Sunbreak are very good. They're pretty different from World/Wilds, though, so don't go in expecting the same thing. It focuses hard on the combat and very little else, but you get some of the most insane fights in the series there.

+1 for rise and sunbreak here, it really took a lot of the pain out of MHW for me. That's not a popular opinion however so if you have not played MHW +Icebourne try those instead. I love both Rise and World but Rise for me personally was a better experience.

Both Rise and World have their pros and cons. So i kinda enjoyed and criticized both equally while playing them.
But we all know that Gen was the best, literally perfect MH :^)
if you like arcade slashers instead of monster hunter, yes

ohh okay i bought Rise, i will try and i i am in i will support the dev with wild (when it will go on sale)

New biomes changed, new monsters a bit different, new mechanics, nothing real new changes. 69.99.

Not for me, the original started with iceborn was amazing, but now if a new one comes, should be better than this, much more big, updates by team and not just one update and leave as it's during years. This is capcom, not expecting so much.
Rise is a much more fast paced game, for better and for worse. Against the late game monsters, you will need to know how to react to every move the monsters make, or you will cart

Definitely, Rise and Sunkbreak are incredible, especially for the price you can get them on sale.
