But yeah stop pumping everything to max ultra settings at 4k, if you want frames optimize your settings for frames. If you want resolution optimize for resolution, this happens in so many games. Never happy mediums jeeze
See, this is the problem. This isn't acceptable for a fully released game. But that's how triple A is now. Day 1 patch nonsense, essentially early access on launch even if it isn't mentioned.
The RE Engine just isn't equipped to deal with open world games It's great for what it's intended for but in this case it's a busted tool. Luckily I have a good enough computer to push >70fps at ultrawide without needing to resort to Framegen, but considering what the game looks like, that's gigantic underperformance.
5090??? with what their fake frames??? im shocked people bought these new GPU seriously clearly anyone who did buy one didn't research anything
Just curious, what's your memory and CPU? I've noticed the game is super demanding on CPU. It's possible that your GPU is being bottlenecked.
I've said it many times before all over Steam in the hardware section, even Jedi Survivor and other places: what GPU sellers promise can't come to pass without developers making it a reality .
That means that no matter what GPU you have, you can still get bad or terrible performance so you are just paying more for hype essentially.
That's because a game optimised well enough to run on your high end hardware at high frames, should also be somewhat optimised to run on mid-range.
It's why when I work on a game or fix it, I use a 6650XT 99 percent of the time. If it can't run on that GPU with at native at least 50-60 at 1440P on a 6650xt or similar hardware, then I know the game needs better optimisation and a look at what is going on.
Sadly other developers don't care and release broke garbage. That's life. Speak with your wallet.
I remember when Crysis was released back in 2007...on 1080p with everything on max i got about 3 fps on my gtx 8800 ultra....if you wanted to play the game you either needed 2 gpu's in sli or crank some settings down or even the resolution.
DLSS exists so you dont have to do that...game developers make use of it by cranking everything up even higher so people with a good pc can run it at full graphics and people with a less powerfull pc can lower the settings and still play it.
Crysis needed processors that never arrived. When it was in development the trajectory it looked like Intel was going to take was going to be incredibly high single core performance - 10+Ghz. That isn't what happened and we went multi-threaded. Crysis became the system buster for so long because the hardware it was targeting never happened.
It's why that even today, the original release of Crysis runs like ♥♥♥♥ relative to whatever hardware you put it on. We can brute force it now, but it'll never run as well as it ought to given how it looks on any hardware.
Monster Hunter: Wilds is built on the RE Engine - and that engine is great; it's just not designed to run open worlds, which is why DD2 still runs like ♥♥♥♥ relative to the hardware you put it on, and MH:W is the same.
There's nothing about how this game looks or runs that should make it as taxing on hardware as it is, but rather the developers (or more likely Capcom executives) choice of Engine that they had to use - that's why people are complaining.
The 5090 test I saw despite the man trashing it while looking at a phenomenal game, he pumped every single setting to max all of them at 4k then started bashing it cuz it was like 70-100 fps lol
Well no ♥♥♥♥ Sherlock you got all the settings on and maxed em out of course it's gonna lower the frames 🤣 game looked great for him despite the trash talk of it "not looking great" bunch of ungrateful... they should just release 3ds titles graphics again that people don't seem to notice improvements at all x.x
The improvements are in the benchmark tool, this is as good as it's going to get.
Why would they buy a $3000 GPU if they cannot play the game at max settings and resolution?
Also, if they optimized the game for weaker cards, then the 50 series would be getting even way more FPS, but its not optimized for anybody
