Why no new weapons ?
I played MHW and Rise for 500Hrs , they just added some new mechanics , we need new weapons.

the new mecanic is the focus mode / focus strike in this one

Because you can't add anything else. It would be insanely unrealistic, fantasy garbage. Current weapons are perfectly fit and enough. What else would you add?

I would want a normal spear and its own moveset. Or even a concept of each weapon having a combo system that we can choose/change. I don't like insect glaive and thats the closest thing to what I want for a spear. I dont like the insects or the jumping of it so I use it for fun pretending.. lol. Not that I hate the game. I love mh regardless

the game is unrealistic already , but that's not the point , there are hundreds of more classes they could add , to me it's just copy paste.

they had different weapons is some older game, maybe they will mix things up in future games

There's been plenty of new weapon classes over the years, they just don't cross over into the mainline series.

Monster Hunter Frontier Z had Tonfas and Magnet Spike that never crossed over into the main series. Never played that game so I don't know how they would play. There's also the Accel Axe from Monster Hunter Explore.

Monster Hunter Generations Ultimate had Prowler Mode which let you play as your Palico, and it was sort of like having a 15th weapon class (also probably the best way to get your gathering done).

There was also a Medium Bowgun in Monster Hunter Tri (actually there was a whole system regarding the modification of Bowguns that can put them into different weight classes), but it was reverted in Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate to being only Light and Heavy (the modification system is heavily simplified and removed the medium class, no more mixing).

If I were to add a new weapon class, it would probably be a spear as well. Lancing has become more block/counter based since World and I kind of miss the classic Evasion Lance playstyle, so I'd think spear would play like an Evasion Lance but more aggressive and agile with its moveset, also no shield.

there no class, just weapons but no new weapon this time since slash axe and insect pole
it would be great if they bring back tonfa or new weapon

Of course it would make sense to add spear. It's a mobile throwing, thrusting and slashing weapon. There is nothing like that in the game. Managing extracts on the IG isn't fun for a lot of people.

Yes, this game is an anime show. What are you even talking about? What makes the Gunlance or the Insect Glaive more immersive than fist weapons? MH is weeb ♥♥♥♥ at it's finest.

If they made a new weapon, I'm hoping they make something that uses all the stuff they did for Alchemy style in GU. I think a weapon or playstyle around creating items was a great idea in Monster Hunter and it was a bit half-baked previously. I imagine people would call it "anime" or "unrealistic", but I'd love for them to make something like an alembic flail. You load up some big drum or something on a chain and swing it around to mix your reagents as well as hit monsters. After enough time/hits, the reagents are mixed and you get your alchemy items from the old Alchemy style.

Plus, it'd be a new a blunt weapon. Might be cool since a chained weapon would have some reach too; be a pseudo ranged weapon.

If they made a new weapon, I think a quarterstaff would be neat. To make it more interesting instead of just being a regular ol' stick, give it the option to extend and retract, kinda like Sun Wukong's staff. You could have fast attacks in retracted mode, but in extended mode, you'd have a lot of range and powerful attacks... and also great crowd control against small monsters, I guess.
