RTX 2060 - SUPER / Horrible performance with everything on low / 30 fps / 1080p.

My computer has what is recommended for playing this game, which according to the store page is:

RECOMMENDED:

Requires a 64-bit processor and operating system
OS: Windows®10 (64-bit required)/Windows®11 (64-bit required)
Processor: Intel® Core™ i5-10400 or Intel® Core™ i3-12100 or AMD Ryzen™ 5 3600
Memory: 16GB RAM
Video card: NVIDIA® GeForce® RTX 2060 Super(VRAM 8GB) or　AMD Radeon™ RX 6600(VRAM 8GB)
DirectX: Version 12
Network: Broadband internet connection
Storage: 75 GB of available space
Other notes: SSD required.

This game is expected to run at 1080p / 60 fps (with Frame Generation on) with graphics on "Medium". Compatible with DirectStorage.
However, when entering the game, I suffered with temperatures above 83 degrees on the RTX 2060 Super, configured at 60 fps 1080p, after locking at 30fps, 1080p the game was around 57 - 74 degrees. (yeah i have a good airflow bla bla).
The game was very slow, it felt very heavy, I could barely play it and then I gave up.
Why do they put technical specifications that are not equivalent to the reality of the product?
My PC has exactly the same configuration as the "Recommended" description and I can't even play on the "Medium" settings with DLSS turned on and all these modern performance masks that turn games into real mutants with terrible performance.


Without further ado, I would like to thank the development team for making the Beta available to test the game on PC before purchasing. Have you ever thought about paying for the game and only finding out that you can't play it after the refund period has ended? So I'm grateful for the Beta test.
In terms of world, characters, and fun, the game is undeniably wonderful, but to enjoy it, it's better to buy an "EXCELLENT NASA" computer or don't even come close to this Frankenstein of performance DLSS maskarade Software.

a 2060 is not only outdated, it was even extremely bad at release day.

While i understand your opinion against this GPU, this is what Capcom MHW set as recommended at their main page.
If the recommendation were not this one, obviously i should refrain to open this post to talk about it.
Maybe developers should test their game before release recommended settings at game main page on steam to evade posts like this? I Swear, if i knew this game was incompatible with my computer, i'd never been here opening posts to talk about it.

this is exactly what i've been thinking too, it's right on their recommended specs setting and everyone I've seen with these specs says the same thing you do, it doesn't actually perform to the level they claim it can. They actually recently changed it, it used to say a 4060 instead. They should have just kept that as the recommended because the new one is basically lying.

What people forget that the beta was not to fullload test the setup each one of you all have more to test the netcode for the network and servers for crossplay between platforms and amount of players on the servers. The build and benchmark build are a year old and both have not implemented any of the fixes that, will be available at launch of the game.

Also we at nividia nor amd site we still did not have a driver that is optimised for Monster Hunter Wilds

Those gpu driver also impact the performance in general.

the rtx 2060s is not the issue. the i5 10400 is. Lowering everything should get you some acceptable performance but you're most likely bottlenecked by cpu.

Mine is ryzen 5 3600xt exactly the same in the recommended game page. I just have all the recommended settings setup, this is why i tought i could play this game without problems. I was very wrong, the game runs like garbage in my pc.

1080P 30fps medium settings are definitly possible on your end and thats what recommended stands for. What did you expect?

It's not, if you want to run a variant of the launch version, just run the benchmark. Capcom openly said before the beta last year and before the beta this year, that it was an older version.

Well the benchmark is the 1.0 version of the game at most there will be a day one patch at launch.
I wouldn't really expect performance to change much at launch from the benchmark but maybe slightly better.

Lets be real, 4000 series or just skip this game. This game is not for players with older computers than 4000 series. I have already accepted my fate and its ok, and i just dont want to upgrade my pc now just to play a game. I have more important matters to put my money at this momento than worry about Capcom greed games. I can deal with it, just have fun if you have the CPU and GPU to play this, the game is beautfull and worth a try ifyour machine can handle.

I would say the requirements are a bit...incorrect I don't know why capcom assumed a 2060 could run this game if anything I think the minimum should definitely be around a 3070

the benchmark runs just as ♥♥♥♥ as the beta. if the benchmark isnt representative of the full release then its not a benchmark. its a worthless outdated demo

Im kinda pissed, we wanna play this, but it seems we need to upgrade her PC for it...kinda lost for words here. This is easily the worst game theyve done.

some gamers have budgets, my setup with a ryzen 9 3900X 3060 and 32gb of ram runs the game on 1080 with medium graphics at 60-75fps and no temperature issues without an insane cooling system, just an AiO for the cpu and some case fans
