Monster Hunter Wilds

RTX 2060 - SUPER / Horrible performance with everything on low / 30 fps / 1080p.
My computer has what is recommended for playing this game, which according to the store page is:

RECOMMENDED:

Requires a 64-bit processor and operating system
OS: Windows®10 (64-bit required)/Windows®11 (64-bit required)
Processor: Intel® Core™ i5-10400 or Intel® Core™ i3-12100 or AMD Ryzen™ 5 3600
Memory: 16GB RAM
Video card: NVIDIA® GeForce® RTX 2060 Super(VRAM 8GB) or AMD Radeon™ RX 6600(VRAM 8GB)
DirectX: Version 12
Network: Broadband internet connection
Storage: 75 GB of available space
Other notes: SSD required.

This game is expected to run at 1080p / 60 fps (with Frame Generation on) with graphics on "Medium". Compatible with DirectStorage.
However, when entering the game, I suffered with temperatures above 83 degrees on the RTX 2060 Super, configured at 60 fps 1080p, after locking at 30fps, 1080p the game was around 57 - 74 degrees. (yeah i have a good airflow bla bla).
The game was very slow, it felt very heavy, I could barely play it and then I gave up.
Why do they put technical specifications that are not equivalent to the reality of the product?
My PC has exactly the same configuration as the "Recommended" description and I can't even play on the "Medium" settings with DLSS turned on and all these modern performance masks that turn games into real mutants with terrible performance.

Without further ado, I would like to thank the development team for making the Beta available to test the game on PC before purchasing. Have you ever thought about paying for the game and only finding out that you can't play it after the refund period has ended? So I'm grateful for the Beta test.
In terms of world, characters, and fun, the game is undeniably wonderful, but to enjoy it, it's better to buy an "EXCELLENT NASA" computer or don't even come close to this Frankenstein of performance DLSS maskarade Software.

Idk why this isn't mentioned more, I'm seeing so many posts like this on here and Reddit. But, this beta is from a late 2023 build of the game. On full release optimization is going to obviously be much better.

Its just to give people a chance to play the beta who didn't get to previously.

And, just to add, it's also about testing their servers.

It's hilarious that people like you always say that, then the games release and they are still running like garbage. This is definitely the final version chief.

Source ?
The Recommended is total BS. You will experience a very broken game running this on a 20 series with anything close to those CPUs.
To everyone saying the Beta is an old build. Yes it is however the benchmark isnt and the benchmark looks and runs horribly on the recommended specs. This game is optimised very poorly and i just dont understand how much cope there is on reddit/this forum. If this was EA or Ubisoft people would tear the devs a new one.

Yes, you are totally right. After give a look to the main page recommendation settings, i just downloaded the game to try and even thinking about to buy the basic version of the game. I have the RTX 2060 Super, and after try to play the game, it were a total nightmare, i couldn't hold a good performance, and my GPU and CPU temps got 87º more in the recommended settings. This game is cool and beautfull, but bad optimized to extreme. Maybe next year i buy it when some performance fixes be active.

Like Dragons Dogma 2? :D
I'am waiting still for a performance patch...

Even a RX6800 & 5800x3d isn't enough to hold 60fps at 3440x1440p it drops into the low 40ss on even the lowest of settings without upscaling nor FG it can get into the 70-80s while doing basically nothing but oboy you start moving at running speed or fighting it quickly drops into the 50s.

Meanwhile World at max same resolution 100+ on average.
So at the end of the day World just end up looking better and running better.

And changing resolution to 1080p doesn't help much at all either at most it adds 10-15fps.

A 2060 isnt even a gpu... its fake ♥♥♥♥ nvidia wanted to sell to potatoe farms.
seriously mate
EVERY XX60 card is pure garbage. have you ever thought about, why they are SOOOO much cheaper than XX80/XX90 gpus?

a 2060 is not only outdated, it was even extremely bad at release day.

While i understand your opinion against this GPU, this is what Capcom MHW set as recommended at their main page.
If the recommendation were not this one, obviously i should refrain to open this post to talk about it.
Maybe developers should test their game before release recommended settings at game main page on steam to evade posts like this? I Swear, if i knew this game was incompatible with my computer, i'd never been here opening posts to talk about it.

Not everyone can afford xx80 or xx90s. Capcom declared that rtx 2060 is recommended for medium settings with 1080p/60 fps. Thats why we poors are frustrated. (I can buy this game for ps5 but its much more expensive in Turkey store. But this is an another middle finger from Sony/capcom)
