screen flickering issue
why does my screen flicker for some reason? its like old CRT monitor LOL :P however when i change settings to windowed mode it does not do that, only in fulscreen or windowed borderless. why does this happen like this? perhaps devs need to patch something, add compatibility or something like that, idk :P

I had this on my AOC Freesync compatible monitor. I have GSync enabled despite the monitor claiming it's not validated, but this monitor has been absolutely fine with G-Sync on every other title, from Helldivers 2 to Star Citizen. This was literally the only game that was doing it, but I solved it doing the following:
  1. Open NVIDIA Control Panel
  2. Look for "3D Settings" on the left in the column
  3. Under that, select "Manage 3D Settings"
  4. Click the "Program Settings" tab
  5. "Add" and select "Monster Under Wilds"
  6. Find the "Vertical sync" option toward the bottom
  7. Change from "Use global setting (Use the 3D application setting)" to "Use the 3D application setting
  8. Try not to look dumbfounded when it works

I tried tons of stuff, that was the setting that did it. I wish I was joking. Letting the program settings defer to global settings is what caused the flickering for my monitor, I'm guessing it's specifically MonHun's issue unless it's some sort of issue with NVidia's software (gotta be fair; they are batting a solid .420 right now).

This was the solution for me as well. Thanks!

You either have an oled or VA monitor with miniled. You also have gsync turned on.

You also have a frametime graph that look like a saw that's caused by denuvo in this game.

I'm experiencing the samething.

Gave you a award, this worked and I no longer have that fast flickering on my screen. It was giving me such a headache.
I couldn't find a way to disable to just for wilds but I disabled it all together.

Is it possible to disable it just for wilds and nothing else?

Alright I had this same flickering and changed the vertical sync setting in the control panel like Auburok posted and it worked. But when I double checked the control panel I realized I did the opposite.
So instead of:
From "Use global setting (Use the 3D application setting)" to "Use the 3D application setting"
I had changed:
From "Use the 3D application setting" to "Use global setting (Use the 3D application setting)"

So I tried going back and forth and restarted the game a couple of times and the flickering is gone regardless of what the setting is now.
For me at least the act of changing the setting at all fixes the issue weirdly enough
i have posted this thread on 07.02.25, before the actual launch. i was hoping that this is only some beta version problems and they are going to be fixed later on. but now, after the official launch i can see that a lot of other people have issues like this as well. and also reviews saying that a lot of people reporting problems with optimization. well, this is so far as we go in modern gaming i guess...

You're correct: once it's done it works on either setting. I think, for whatever reason, the initial setting isn't being made correctly; don't know if that's Nvidia's fault (leaning toward that) or if it's something Capcom can control.
