A Select, B Cancel Problem

I'm using Xbox pad. I chose A button for Select, B button for Cancel. But when I push the A button, then Canceled, not Selected. How can I fix this problem?

You can fix it by pressing B

Also having this issue. I press A on my controller and the game thinks I'm pressing B and vise versa. Really annoying for trying to learn the controls and getting told by the game to press the wrong button. Haven't found a fix in the settings.

Have you tried enabling steam input for the game? I've had a few games where, even using an Xbox controller, I've had to enable it and set a default profile to have the game recognise it properly. Might be work tinkering with if you haven't already.
