.... i guess..... ??!?
OP, I'll offer a serious reply and advice, cause I'm scared of spiders too.
The arachnophobia mode will not work on the main/big spider-like monsters as that would affect gameplay too much (it would change hit boxes etc. which is no good for a multiplayer game).
What I can suggest is, if possible, getting a group of friends to help you with those fights. I don't seem to be as scared of them as you are, but a very good friend of mine is, and we helped him through Monster Hunter Rise like that. It was a great feeling for him when he was able to overcome that fear and take down the monster with us. And when it got too much at first, we told him to hang back and calm himself down whilst we wailed on it.
I believe in you OP. Don't let the fear keep you from playing a game you want to. Gather some allies, and I'm sure you'll teach those arachnids who's the real one to fear! :)
You'd think that, but it's the smallest ones that are the most likely to be able to kill you with their venom.
Edit: interesting useless fact: Spiders have an exoskeleton and that prevents them from getting too big, as it can't support them. Goliath Birdeater spiders are as big as they can get. About 5 inches.
Well here is my advice, remember that it is just pixels on a screen its not real and it cannot do a damn thing to you in reality. Just keep telling yourself that, I suggest you start with videogame spiders before trying this with pictures of real ones. There is a manga that may help, the main char is a girl who is reincanated/isekaied as a freshly hatched spider, but its drawn in a very cute way. Its called "So i'm a spider, so what?". Only way to get over a Phobia like this is exposure, running from it doesn't help it makes it worse. I don't like spiders either, but ones in videogames don't bother me anymore as they can't do anything to you. There is a critter in the first area in the MH Wilds beta me and my friend basically call "bee spiders" cuz we cannot pronounce the name at all its a small class monster dies in a few hits.
