What the point of an open world if players haven't any reasons to interact with it...
It looks like they wanted to respect players' time, like people say. But instead it's just more meaningless time in the game.
Common items should be decently pleasant to gather, now stronger items that make the meta can be a little extra make us work for them. But it shouldn't take away from hunting for long periods of time.
So in my opinion it would be better to have something like that here but let me track monsters myself so I'll have the reason to learn an area, shortcuts etc.
