unable to download the beta

i keep getting an error message for no licenses when trying to download the beta, has anyone else had this issue and found a solution?

I wish I could help, I had it still installed from the first time playing it. You could try this:

clearing the download cache did not help, the text on the store page says to "click to install and get started" but the only button i have is play now, should there be an install button too?

it is not in my library and clicking play now gives me a popup saying "an error occurred while launching this game: no licenses"

This. You could also try to download it via a command or steamdb, not sure if it will work tho.

Maybe if you write steam support, they could add the licnese to your account manually, otherwise I sadly have no idea what else you could do.

Same here. I've also written to Steam Support but no help yet beyond "just click it again and it should let you in" - wow, why didn't I think of that? My ticket's still open so here's hoping something comes of it

did you also play the first beta and delete it from your steam library after it ended?

I did, but I went a step farther and fully removed it from my account via Steam Support since simply uninstalling doesn't always remove Betas from your account in my experience. I'm now kicking myself in doing that but, in my defence, I had no idea we were even getting a second OBT as this was done a day after the first one closed.

Seems like just deleting it was enough to cause this issue, everyone ive talked with that had the same problem so far have all done that
