Can't enable frame generation (yes I followed the troubleshoting guide, im stumped and need help)
CPU: Ryzen 7 5800x
GPU: RTX 3060
16gb RAM

I've enabled Hardware Accelerated GPU Scheduling, ive installed the latest nvidia drivers for the 3060, and ive rebooted several times. The option is just grayed out for me and i have no idea what to do. the benchmark runs fine without it, it would just be nice to have it as an option.

does anyone know what im missing here?

30 series doesn’t support Frame Generation. That’s a 40+ thing.

30 series frame generation requires fsr instead of dlss
huh. i remember there being multiple different types of frame generation options available in the beta in October, one of them even worked on my 1660 that i had at the time, and my roommate with a 3050 was able to use it as well. i wonder if they just removed those options for the benchmark, or if they removed them all together. i suppose we'll find out when the real beta goes live tonight.

HI I have 4060ti but can't use frame generation too. I have enabled hardware accelerated gpu scheduling in the graphic settings but still can't use it, is something wrong?

If you want to make use of framegeneration you need to use FSR. Not DLSS. DLSS frame gen is only for 40xx and onwards

Are you confusing with the options provided when you select FSR and then hae the option to pick quality, balanced, performance etc?

dlss 3.5 for OBT
dlss 3.7 for the benchmark
provided by nvidia
Neither works for your GPU.

Ask nividia, how much they need pathetically trying to convince 20 series, 3060, 3060ti and 3070 users to upgrade.
Using amd fsr allows you to enable frame gen

frame generation are for 4000series cards by default, requires dlss4.nvidia for ya... there re youtube videoes for how to switch. i highly suggest it, doubled my fps.

I've got the RTX 3060 and I managed to activate the option.
