DLSS Swapper
If you plan to use frame gen etc try using a DLSS swapper. I updated the dlss and framegen verison to the newest version and gained around 5fps(others have gained more also) and also had more consistent fps in the dip areas!

Which version of DLSS 3 did you use or which one is the optimal?
I've read 3.8.1 is the best but maybe I'm wrong

The game came with 3.7.10, and I just upgraded to the newest one that I could get in the dlss swapper tool. I might have to do some more testing then, as I think I used 3.10 something, so might not even be the best if 3.8.1 is good. I'm going to test now and let you know
I updated the DLSS which works fine but the latest version of frame gen causes the test to black screen for me. I can actually alt tab out of it and see it behind other windows though, weird. Hopefully they can fix or properly implement for launch.

Performance and Quality is improved though, particularly the up-scaling though, skin textures looked significantly better.

I just tried 3.8.1 and Didn't seem any performance upgrade from what the game comes with, but it could be different for different specs etc. But for me at least 3.10.1 seems to work best

Ah yeah, I guess maybe some specs might have issues with certain versions etc, at least we can test out differnt versions and see what works best for your system etc

Yeah that makes sense. Thanks for testing.
I'll try it later and share the results

Not related to DLSS but to performance in general, considering we are tinkering with files aready:

A thing that I noticed is that there is no Vsync option or a way to cap frames.
I would love to cap FPS to let say 120 and dont stress the GPU so much when its not needed.
I think its possible to toggle Vsync from Nvidia Control Panel but limit FPS?

Edit: it is possible to do Both. For low refresh rate monitors like mine 60Hz, I will give it a shot limiting FPS and Vsync

This issue is present in the Beta too, from my forum searches people with this issue seem to be pointing out using 3440x1440 (i use this res), i assume 21:9 and maybe 32:9 will have this issue and standard 16:9 is fine. I've seen someome mentioning custom resolutions also cause DLSS4 to display a black screen.

Hi, its release day and I still have the same issue as well.
Same resolution (3440x1440).
I have a rtx 4080 and everything up to date (drivers, windows 11 etc).
