Very slow model and texture loading
On an SSD, models are initially loading in like N64 starfox polygons and environments look like clay putty before loading in about 6 seconds later. Why are they taking so long to load in?

no idea, doesn´t seem to be related to performance though, have the benchmark installed on an nvme and get over 20k points but still have the same issues of stuff loading weirdly slow and stuttering when requiring new assets.
Seems exactly the same as the Beta1 can´t see any performance improvements here
Yeah, I ran benchmark again, I can load the assets twice as quick but still very noticeable wait time by lowering my textures from High to Medium (high was selected by the benchmark as default) Hoping a game driver will fix this but not holding out much hope

NVME here, same thing. Horrible blurry/pixelated textures that look like they're trying to load in better textures but they just don't succeed.

I would do a clean installation of the video card driver and check drivers to be safe, i had an issue like this before and a clean slate install of nvidia driver fixed it for me, had to reload the texture though

Same here.
Even with RTX 4070, the texture resolution of the characters remained much lower in the first round of benchmarks.
Halfway through the second round, they became fully textured.
I installed the benchmark on a fast SSD and I've already updated my video card drivers to the latest.
I was having the same issue, after restarting the PC I did another benchmark run and it all went super smooth with zero artifacts. On my first test the Seikret texture, grass and some rocks would never load. Does anybody know what causes this?
In the graphics settings, go to PC Specs. Does it say CPU or GPU under DirectStorage? Mine is showing CPU even though my PC definitely should be using GPU and I'm wondering if others are having the same issue.
i installed on NVMe, ran the bench at many different settings, and sometimes facial details would not load immediately, but the issue resolved itself in about 20-30 seconds. EDIT: this happened very infrequently for me

i'm thinking that this game is designed around PS5 texture loading speeds, maybe that's the hurdle devs have porting this game to PC

Ok, so I changed from my none NVMe SSD to my NVMe SSD, 100% improvement. NVMe is not "supported" it should be "recommended" on their spec page

mine said cpu for directstorage aswell

ive got win11 and a rtx 4070.
should be using the gpu to do directstorage i think.

gpu scheduling is on etc.
Same problem here, textures just won't load in... :/

I know sounds stupid but for me it was the settings... even though everything was set on max, my textures were stuck on medium. Downloaded the new hd texture pack in the store and set it up to maximum. Now everything is fine.

Second this HD pack helped for me too after i set textures to ultra i switched back to high and polygony dissapeared
I fixed mine and now it's running flawlessly by following the instructions on this post:

https://www.reddit.com/r/MonsterHunter/comments/1j00rls/directstorage_says_cpu_even_though_my_computer/

Just make sure that GPU is ABOVE CPU in the list and GPU is BELOW and that GPU is set to 1 and CPU is set to 0. Happy hunting my friend!
