But the old girl is starting to show her age. I'm torn between 5700X3D or saving for a 9600X.

my friend 5700x3d with 3080 still have decent 70+ at ultra dlss quality 1080p
80+ for high 1080p no upscale
if only 9600x can do 5.5ghz it would be almost no bottleneck since 9700x dont bottleneck this game
or u can try 9600x3d if u can get it

nice score and yeah... she's getting old and I also had this doubt about the 5700x3D... but I think it's better to save money for the 9600x.

Does it actually use all of your cores? I have a 5900x and the benchmark is only using the physical cores not the multithread cores.

Sorry for the slow reply, I was grabbing a bench screeny for you then my wife tripped the power lol.

But yes, it was using all 6 cores 12 threads, but you're right that it's working the actual cores much harder than the "helper" threads.

Potentially some improvement could be made there, but the cores were getting hammered.
