Are shaders supposed to take 10 minutes to compile on first launch of the benchmark tool?
Big yikes.

Other games compile a lot quicker than this lol

How long it takes doesn't depend on the game. It depends on your CPU.
yeah they took ages. steam fps counter overlay was locked at max during compilation so i dont think the cpu or gpu were doing very much and thats why they were so slow.

i didnt time it exactly but with my 5700x and 4070 it likely took 10mins+. i switched over to tv while it did its thing.
certainly the longest time ive had to wait

Took me like 40 minutes.

Depends on the game and how reliant they are on shaders to do a lot of the work.

Perhaps they're being extremely thorough and insuring all potential shaders, no matter how minor or quick they are to initiate, to be compiled to prevent stuttering.

took close to 8-10 mins on 7800x3d
The average consensus was around 5-20 minutes in the beta according to the mass amount of people talking about it last time. Took me 6 and a half minutes, took me friend 18 minutes. You will only have to shader compile on every update/driver update though and it makes the game load instant as the open world has no loading screens.

Benchmark tool takes longer to compile shader because it doesn't hammer the CPU utilization to 100%. I noticed that it barely used 55-60% of CPU when compiling shaders.

Maybe this is a move from Capcom to avoid CPU errors and take the shader compilation lightly on the Intel 13-14th gen CPUs.
