time to kill
hello,

I was in love with monster hunter world, but i didnt like the fact that i need like 30-45 to kill a single boss. In this game, this will be faster or same thing?

thx

It is faster to kill a monster if you get good at the game

I mean have you done the arenas? 30-45 isn't even close to the lowest medals.

It shouldn't take that long in the early game unless you're lost. Only fights that can get that long are special endgame events or "dlc" and only the first few times that you don't know the fight that well yet, after that it will always be 15-30 minutes on the hardest content, and less than 15 on regular content.

play a higher dps weapon? 45 minutes sounds like you were playing gunlance
it should only take 25 minutes if you know what you are doing either way (unless you're playing gunlance where the minimum in master rank is like 35 minutes)

I used to have this as well as i was making armor and equipment mostly on appearance, for me making a more optimised build really helped cutting down the time from 30m to 10-15-20 minute hunts, making the game a lot more enjoyable as well
For the first open beta, speedrunners were clocking 2 to 5 minutes (based on weapon) to solo the alpha of the Windward Plains; that was without optimum strats like using environmental damage events if the critter happened to wander into a danger zone.

you can totally do fashion builds also and go fast with them. just have to be really good at the game

30 to 45 mins? the timelimit is 50.
so you need dearly the maximum of what is given to you?
on avarage i would say most people need 15 min tops for a hunt.
exept the absolut endgame monsters or sieges.
The amount of time a hunt takes largely is based on you. Your skill as a hunter, familiarity with the monster, gear/skill setup, etc all play into it.

When new to the game, and the monster, hunts take longer because you're learning, as you improve your skill and gear the time it takes goes down.

I can tell you're a new player just by telling us it takes you 30-45 minutes just to kill a regular monster when it shouldn't. Even without the defenders equipment it shouldn't take that long to beat regular monsters. 5-10 minutes is all you need at best against normal monsters. 15-30 minutes against high rank monsters and endgame monsters. Not just that it all depends on you because if you can't read the monsters fighting patterns, then you won't able to avoid their attacks as much and you can't counter attack.

But don't worry too much about it since you're still learning. It takes time to learn everything about fighting monsters and making weapons and armor that has the skill abilities will help you. But I do recommend get better as soon as possible because if you don't then MH Wilds will be hard for you. I've played the 1st beta and it took me an hour to figure how to play it properly, and yes it is different from MH World

30-45 minutes is REALLY long, I think the average hunt takes 10-15 minutes. So no, this game will not be any different, unless you get better at playing it. Maybe try the open beta tomorrow?
I was playing solo in the end game with an insect-glaive. I stopped to play multiplayer because random people always used all life.

You're very bad at gunlance, well done.
