benchmark tool is cheating u
the opening very long movie will drag your fps higher, sum up with those dumb walking screen fps, u still get average higher fps that is not the real situation when playing the game, especially no fighting scene at all, definitely real performance far lower than what benchmark show. u should focus on fps showing during those walking with mount scene, then expect further lower when actually fighting monster, ignore the final result at all, final result is totally bs fake fps because the video fps is generally higher, including the ending cooking scene also contribute to again dragging up the fps so u get to see better average than it is

ya, and even that might be not be 100% accurate, since capcom said this beta is the same as the last and doesnt include any of the improvements to peformance they say they made..., smh, legit would have been the best peformance test, instead we get a benchmark thats like, mostly a cutscene and no actual combat...

no, beta tomorrow they say using same old beta 1 client performance. u see the same performance like 1st beta.

Yes, the end screen should have displayed a high and low FPS as well.

beta is before fixing bugs, while the benchmark is a pre-release demo.

If you want to see an actual FPS, then look at the later part in the test where you enter the village, that is the heaviest load and your lowest point.

That's probably as real as it get.

not really,, ppl care about battle scene the most. and u see those npc terribly reduced in the benchmark tool, far more less than the beta npc number they release last year. the whole benchmark tool is trying to fool player to buy them, with camera angle pointing down reducing weather load, and the desert is too deserted with very minimal log of wood or rock around. the game industry nowaday pampered by players still supporting them no matter how trash optimization is

That's literally not how game engines render weather, object culling exists but weather effects change the entire scene's lighting. If looking away changed how it impacted performance, the entire scene would have its lighting change. I also have no idea why people are saying the camera is "suspiciously low" when literally any gamer would have their camera pointed down towards the ground to see the terrain in front of where they're moving or to see any sort of collectibles in their vicinity.

view distance, shadow distance, planar reflection,, screen space,

This game will have the worst performance of any Capcom open world game on PC yet, and that really should frighten you. Its gonna be an absolute sheetshow on launch day. The engine was not designed for this, and its clawing at the borders of what is possible as we speak.

Enjoy!.. Do not believe the lies.

sadly we live in a world of consooomers, which is why you see dumb threads like "Why didnt you buy the $100 version?" And look at how many people already prebought it(based on the mouse icon next to their names).

I honestly peoples IQ went down with a certain youknowwhat a few years ago.

I have lower fps in that city last beta, than in any combat, so this guy is basically right i think, that village is most important benchmark part

no, not that what i mean, we all know city have lowest fps. but city fps can be optimize by removing npc, reducing tent, barrel, etc. they can even make the space more in-door like, by closing most exit with wall, trying to reduce the load of an "open world" game, make the city run better like in-door game like resident evil. u can even clearly see how significant lower npc number in the tools than last open beta.

battle of monster is the real part that can really show u fps, as they still open world, and that part really affect the most important experience of this games. they cant reduce monster skill effect, hunter skill effect etc, thats why they dont even dare to show 1 sec battle scene in this tool. they even removed the opening cutscene which u control your ride and run thru the sandstorm, they dont even dare to show that part, cut it and move to "walking" slowly open world, u can guess how suck this game final release version still is
