Specs:
i7 10700K @3.80ghz
4080 Super
64GB 6200mhz Ram

understanding that the CPU is the older piece of hardware here, this is regardless, above what many people who game as a hobby may have.

I wanted to run some tests as i intend on streaming the ♥♥♥♥ outta this game as its my favourite series.

No OBS | Ultra Settings | 1920x1080 | Avg frames 60.27fps | typical in game areas 50.35fps
No OBS | High Settings | 1920x1080 | Avg frames 60.46fps | typical in game areas 50.47fps
OBS Recording | High Settings | 1920x1080 | Avg frames 47.60fps | typical in game areas 30.55fps
OBS Recording | Medium Settings | 1920x1080 | Avg frames 47.45fps | typical in game areas 30.25fps

I dont know if its just me but it dont feel right getting not even 60fps considering the hardware... Im hoping for some game drivers to be released leading up to this, or IMMEDIATE performance patches as its looking like it will be a pain to stream / play at this rate. how were your scores? are ya still gonna try and rock with the game?

I think they will have a day one patch, because basically all games do at this point, so there is hope. MHW is my most anticipated game rn, so the performance is really concerning esp if they can get the game running at 60 fps on PS5, then I have no idea why they cant get 60+ fps stable on more powerful hardware.

nvidia users should wait for the ourcome of game ready driver to fully understand the performances.
The presets turn upscaling on. Are you running any upscaling or did you turn it off?

how is the performance at 1440p?
Optimization was a lie as expected

i can try and run it but i don't expect much
I'm getting 70fps average on ultra (no ray tracing) with 4k with dlss quality on a 4080 Super with a 7900x CPU and 32 GB ram. With ray tracing, dlss quality at 4k and framegen I get 100fps average. Seems like CPU really makes the difference.

CPU Ryzen 7 9700X
RAM DDR5-6400 16GB x 2
GPU RX 7800 XT

Resolution 3840 x2160
Graphics settings Ultra
Frame Gen On
Ray Tracing Off

Average 86.08FPS
Score 14672

Similar CPU (your CPU is slightly better) and your GPU is a lot better than my testing rx 7800xt.

I think it has a lot to do with GPU optimization, as Radeon gave me automatic optimization with the latest GPU driver. Nvidia users should wait to see, when nvidia will give you a proper driver to play this game.

70fps AVG was without framegen.

Is Frame Generation bad? With it, I went from 55fps to 120+fps. I've heard it introduces input lag - but is it really that noticeable/detrimental?

You need to get a better monitor .....1440 would be great because im reaching above 60 fps easily

I think I read that only if your base fps without it is really low, input lag could be really bad, but if it's really high it's not too bad. Though I would need someone who knows more to confirm that as I'm not too sure myself.
