Monster Hunter Wilds

Monster Hunter Wilds

Old 3DS Monster Hunter games look and play better than this turd.
Wilds is a perfect example of developer incompetence in 2025: Looks worse than PS4 title but yet requires a $1000 GPU to run.

Thank you Capcom, really appreciate this one. You just killed your flagship franchise.

Nice bait. Game looks gorgeous, even for modern standards. Upgrade your PC.

Being a blurry mess (because you need to use upscaling) with sub par performance ? Yeah no. World looks worse but it performs 10x better than this piece of crap.
Wilds will be a great game held back by its performance and Capcoms stupidity.

Doesn't look any more blurry at all with DLSS.
Try running it at 800 x 240 40fps then, because that's what they were like on the 3DS

For real. My bottleneck is my monitor itself. It's seen better days, and is over a decade old. Just ordered a 1440p OLED so I can actually see this as it's supposed to be

Just FYI he got <90FPS average (and that is the key word here average. the benchmark has spots with not much going on. also no battle sequence with player effects) on 3080Ti at 2560x1440 with High preset. That means there was definetly a drop during the openworld section where you will be most of the time in the early game. Add weather + monsters + NPCs + player effects and you are looking at sub 60 FPS 100%.
Don't know whats your setup but for 1440p stable perfromance you need a strong CPU and something like 4070ti at minimum (if you wanna play without frame gen).

probably, but that's also due to me watching netflix on my left monitor and twitch on my third monitor. Why do I need super high fps for this game? its not an fps

R7 7700x and 4070ti
Already checked the performance and I'm good
Put the crack pipe down. Seek help. Stop it.

I have 7700 non X and 7900XT. 3440x1440 FPS "drops" (62FPS with no figh happening) in openworld area.

Your cpu is slower than mine, it is time for you to upgrade. This game is Cpu Heavy because of what is being generated on an open world map.

Whole PC was built 2023 that CPU does not need to be upgraded in my opinion. And definetly not for one game. And yes i know it is CPU heavy but come on.

You're talking to someone who has played every monster hunter games in existence, I literally BUY consoles back in the past just to play 1 game, Aka monster hunter because it kept jumping
The rest was just bonus, like FF

Please explain it to me (i am serious)

Did you even read the post? Are you expecting us to break it down so you can understand or something?

Or do you actually believe Wild looks and plays worse than a 3DS game? Not only that, the op has conflated being able to play a game, and being able to play in max settings by stating you need a $1000 gpu to even play it.

So, yes, he's a troll looking for attention. If not, he's needs to reevaluate how he looks at life.

Same. I spent hundreds to get a wiiU, 3DS, and switch just for MH. What's a few more for my PC.
But TBH a non x 7700 should still be good enough. I do wonder what ram they are running an if it's using expo. The ram on AMD CPUs can actually make a huge difference in performance. Like, as much as 20%
That's more than the difference between CPU generations sometimes
