Horrible Optimization, I kinda wish the game got delayed and fixed
The optimization of this game, both the beta and the benchmark are horrible, it looks WAY WORSE than MH World, and you also barely get 60 FPS with a good PC Build, I tried multiple times changing the graphic settings and my PC struggles to get 60 stable FPS and it is not my PC's fault, I'm lucky I have an i5 10600k, 16GB 3200MHZ Corsair Vengeance RAM and a RTX 3060TI OC, I never got issues with any game in these last 4 years, not even Cyberpunk with Ray Tracing on, the thing is, if at least the game was better looking than MH World, but the textures struggle to load and most of the time they look like they are from the PS1 era, it is not my storage neither since I'm runnng Wilds in an M.2, the game runs horribly bad + looks terrible, I'm an huge MH fan since the PSP era, but I'm ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ TIRED of companies relaying on Frame Generation bullshittery, optimize your games, MOST part of Steam users have a way worse PC Build than mine, I can't really imagine how the game will run in low end builds.

I haven't try it on pc yet but I thought if it run fine on Console, like ps5 and such, then it should be fine no?

True, wished we had good optimized games before the DLSS era, runs fine enough on my desktop but fine enough shouldnt be having to have activated dlss or frame gen.
I'm praying that the Benchmark tool is still running a beta build, otherwise they've fixed nothing. Running at 1440p on Ultra setting preset it's using 22gb of VRAM on my 4090 which is ABSURD not to mention I'm still sitting at 70-100 fps without frame gen etc. Even on high and medium preset there's no real difference in performance.

I ran it over and over at all of the different presets with almost no difference. The game is HEAVILY CPU bound.

console people look at 40 fps and think it is running better than most of their games.

I also think the game look great tho. it's not ugly or anything. Only bad part is probably lightning issue?

In this case the issue is that the Graphics upgrade doesn't compensate the performance issues, MH World still looks way better than MH Wilds depending on your graphic settings, and Monster hunter World doesn't require a High End PC.

I do think the game looks great when the weather effects aren't happening. The weather just turns the game in to one ugly brown or grey color for most of the game.

Honestly it feels like swapping between High/Medium/Low doesn't even do anything most times...

I see your point... But why is it whenever someone posts a complaint thread, they always exaggerate?

The game in any way shape or form objectively does not look like anything from the PS1 era.

You guys can make valid complaints without resorting to saying nonsensical stuff like that, you know?
What is the point of comparing the performance of a game from the PS4 era with one from the PS5? wilds has maps 3 or 4 times bigger than world, more enemies on the map and npcs, it is normal that it does not perform the same as world. Maybe you have to improve your PC.
inb4 people start financial shaming

this most modern games where 99% of the settings literally change nothing, while the only meaningful options are DLSS and framegen.
https://imgur.com/a/teEPvPW My benchmark
Graphics were on High with Upscaling enabled, no Frame gen though.

Ironically, playing this game on low/lowest settings nets me worse performance. I reckon this game is playable but having to play at 30-40fps is pretty frustrating when I can knock out games like Cyberpunk 2077 at above 60fps, and cruise between that and 120fps.

It's EXTREMELY obvious this game is poorly optimized and I legitimately DO NOT want to hear otherwise from other people that it isn't. You're either trolling or being ignorant when you say that.

This being said, I can play the game without it being a total eyesore. Beggars can't be choosers.

I'm waiting to see what updates they do. These companies always release day one/week one updates. hopefully they're working on something in the back end and it will get better soon after release.

Better than nothing anyway.
