Probably because 2 cats AND 3 NPC hunters would be a bit much.

Maybe they could give us the option to have 2 cats OR 1 cat and 3 support hunters.

I dont like how overcrowded the screen is like on rise.. u have 4 hunter and each have doggo and palico (good thing Seikret stays out of combat on wilds)

People are here for a mainline game, not some arcadey offshoot slop. Two palicos isn't needed. They can do it, but I can already barely hand one screaming me at me. Plus you can bring your own NPC hunter team now.
