Intel Arc B580, yay or nay?
I know the card works fine for monster hunter world. So I assume it'll be ok for the newest game?

What are your thoughts, anyone gonna try it?

Try the beta that takes place in early February, it's (allegedly) an older, unoptimized build of the game but it'll give you something to gauge performance

I'd like to try it as an upgrade to my 1080, but the only ones available are sold by scalpers for 50-100% markups. I'm not spending $350-400 on a $250 card.

7 years old game is a poor benchmark for a GPU. Consider something much more modern.

Regardless, it is an equivalent of 4060 & 7600 so don't expect it to actually perform well, but 12gb VRAM is nice and will (probably) give it more longevity than the other two. I personally wouldn't buy it, buying a new GPU that is already mediocre at best is meh

$250 is a great price for the performance. FOR THE PERFORMANCE! Add in an extra $50 and you can get something better. A $400 GPU will blow B580 out the water. It's a question of how much one is willing to spend on a GPU.

Exactly this. They're are places charging 4070 Super prices for the B580, at that point. I'll get the better card in the 4070 Super.
