processor strong enough?
looking at the minimum requirement of mhW, my processor is actualy weaker then the minimum. im wondering if i could still run it fine or i need to change it absolutly? my motherboard is getting old so i will have to change it to get a much better ryzen (my MB can use up to serie 3000 at best). will a 1600x be enough or it will run like crap? i havent tred the last open beta but i will try the next one. i heard the performance of OB was actualy bad compared to what we will get at launch but it will give me an idea. i run world at max with resolution pack easy, thanks

pc spec:GPU: gforce RTX 4070
CPU:ryzen 5 1600x
MB:tomahawk b350
RAM:16gb ddr4

Hard to tell. Your PC will definiatly be bottlenecked at 1080P thou
Azjaran Jan 11 @ 10:18am
your CPU should already be a bottleneck, so in this game even more because of how it is CPU heavy
You'll need current gen CPU to run at 60 FPS without frame gen.

hm is it this mb?
https://msi.com/Motherboard/B350-TOMAHAWK/support#cpu
if yes, it support the latest am4 cpus , including a 5700x3d (latests beta bios required for vermeer)

yes its this one. what would be the best CPU i could get without too much BIOS trouble? i heard i could still get a decent one but it need updated BIOS and im afraid to run into issu making it work. can this MB be enough to get a CPU that will run wild ?

assuming the mb uses "msi center"-software, bios updates should be a relatively painless procedure (live update)
best option for gamers using the latest beta bios, that is available, should be the ryzen 7 5700x3d (see compatilibilty),
except the few rare games that favour more then 8 cores over the x3d cache
but a look at the compatibility list will show you the options for other bios versions
problem for older cpu models like the 3xxx series matisse, might be availability fro new units

in terms of wattage i do not see a problem
your current cpu has 95 watts
maximum (includig the 5700xd and the "non x3d" sibling with more cores) is 105 watts

in doubt, call the msi support and ask about details
you might also look on the web for "tomahawk b350" "5700x3d"
only limitation is pcie3 instead of 4 with newer am4 boards but that should not be a problem with your gpu

It says Ryzen 5 3600 as the absolute minimum, so i guess not (maybe even missing CPU features?)

sadly mh wilds is not mhw world/rise or something like fh4/5
all those run fine on that kind of cpu´s
but with wilds i am not optimistic about that

another problem will be, that sandy bridge cpu´s, like the i7 2600 usually do not have a tpm 2.0 neither they can be upgraded with one, so unless ms makes a 180° turn qith the requirements of w11, there will be no upgrade to w11
w10 will run out of support except special variants end of the year
defender will be supported on w10 so fr a little longer afaik
and i do not know if those exceptions, like ltsc versions are suitable for gaming
getting them is another topic too

so if possible (!) it might be time for an upgrade :-/

and recommendet it says 5 3600x wich is 5% better as a 5 3600 wich is minimum. im pretty sure all the 3000 cpu´s work for the game. i got an 3600 and played the beta and it worked fine with little dips. dont forget its an old beta build.
Wild Jan 11 @ 11:36am
Definitely outdated CPU but we don't know how well they're going to optimize on release, if it's for beta it will struggle more.

Since you mentioned your mobo can run up to a 3000 series ryzen, if you can find a cheap ryzen 7 3700x on the used market, and pair with a robust cooler, deepcool air coolers are pretty good, it would pair really well with your GPU and you're looking to get years more of life on your system.

I think so. Quite an old 4 core cpu.

Game is propably gonna run like crap for you because the gaming industry phased out optimization in cooperation with NVidia/AMD in favour of crutches (FSR/DLSS/FakeFrames) to save on budget while telling you it's for your benefit.
Happy gaming brother. Future is bright.

4070 can run all the gimmicks out there, until dlss4 comes out, that won't be in this game anyway.
It depends what you expect from having 4070 in your system. If you want 1440p gaming, you need to update your very outdated CPU. Replacing mother board and CPU should be a good investment for greater gaming experiences in my opinion.

i did some search about the 5700x3d and it does seem to work on my motherboard. sound like a really good CPU. will probably go with this one. should be powerfull enough for a while without changing my MB. thanks for your help i appreciate it.
