My friend was done with Rise on PC when I got it on PC (already beat it and Sunbreak on Switch) and he just asked where my gear was at and made a matching set for what I had unlocked.
trading: maybe? i dont see an issue with it personally, but i doubt i'd care to use it with my friends, we'd just hunt some more
no to the auction house, this is a single player/co-op game, not an always online mmo.
Who wants to make a new character just to have post credit gear?
Shared storage in an account? You mean every save slot you use has the exact same items? It will never happen, because whats stopping you from making a new char but using endgame items from your other char to get ahead of other players. It goes against a core part of MH to be superior to other players beyond their control, same reason we dont have p2w gear and ♥♥♥♥.
and wilds will most likely not be 'online always required', we already saw the pause button in the menu. MHW was the only exclusion to that rule because they were testing the new lobby system and pushing features that only worked through them, and you could still play the game offline despite that anyway
I definitely see the logic in it. In past times quests would be locked behind story progression so we would sit and be like.. okay what runs can you play, what runs don't you have.. etc.. so this would just be nice to have an even field. One of my friends just goes balls to the wall and will max out within a week or 2 while I have the middle ground and then some of our other friends are only on once or twice a month so we usually have a character to play with each group so we all can "progress together". Removing the OP factor and keeping the challenge for those with less FaceTime.
That was more of the idea like how phantasy star online does it. Only people in the run can trade with each other for XYZ amount of time after the hunt. Sometimes the RNG favors one of us more so than the others.
