Monster Hunter Wilds

Monster Hunter Wilds

Multiplayer like World?
So my husband and I got Monster Hunter World and tried to play it, but the MP was designed in the absolute worst and most insufferable way I've ever seen. I kept being forced to disband our party and do half to 2/3r'd of each thing until I got a cutscene and then and only then were one of us able to bring the other in.

Is Wilds going to have the same braindead design? I want to like Monster Hunter and play stuff like this with my husband and friend; but the aforementioned design was an immediate quit moment.

So far,They said it will be easier to join people during story stuff and that you are always in a party, but need to see some cutscenes first, but its not as annoying as world

For what it's worth joining quests in Wilds is more straightforward than it was in World.

As long as your group is in the same lobby everyone can just join in-progress quests whenever. You don't have to wait for the host to send SoS or even be in the same group when a quest is launched. You can just find it on the quest board, join and ride out of town to meet the host.

Hopefully story quests will be treated the same way and your friends can just hop in after you launch a story quest as long as everyone has access to the biome where it is anyway, I do recall them mentioning that opening new biomes will require beating specific story quests to unlock general access.

It's designed so that if a cutscene starts, no one gets DC'd from the group.
They should just either force everyone in the squad to watch the cut-scenes, or skip them in co-op -- only forcing them for solo play.

The problem is that Crapcom want to push the so-called "woke" stuff, and they believe in order to do that effectively, cut-scenes are needed. This is why they force players to endure the mini-movies individually. So, given the political motivations under-pinning this aspect of the game, I would guess that the only realistic way it will be redressed in the 'Wilds', is by forcing everyone to watch the movies together... For there is no way they will allow them to be skipped without forcing players to watch them, The Clockwork Orange style.

the classic "woke" cutscenes such as the monster being revealed, of course.

i must admit, calling that woke is a new one when complaining about the multiplayer issue.

The whole situation is crazy, where the crazy people in the room tell everyone how they have to behave. It was a mistake having pitty with them, just handle them for what they are.
Idiots and morons not saviors of humanity like they hallucinate themself.

lol yea a lot of people were confused by mhw, actually what you had to do is both watch the cutscene, then one person can leave their quest and join the others XD. but no wilds isn't going to have that problem
Deadkold Jan 18 @ 12:47am
oh I was confused by what you asked, I think you will still need to watch cutscenes first, BUT to be fair the story is mostly like a tutorial and the game usually opens up a ton for multiplayer content after it's completed, as someone said before we don't have enough info and won't know until the game comes out how bad it will be compared to mhw
