Wilds' lobby is closer to World's gathering hub but with some changes that make hosting or joining hunts much less of a pain:
To start joining and leaving a public lobby is seamless.
Meaning you don't have to search for or invite people to a lobby. As long as it's not set to private, friends only, etc other players can come and go as they please. Each lobby can also hold 100 players VS the 16 in World.
Any hunts, SoS or not, are just posted to the quest board in that lobby.
So anyone in that lobby can just join whatever quest they want. People can also join hunts when they're in progress too meaning you don't have to post a hunt and wait for others to join anymore. You can just pick a monster and leave camp on your own. Other players can just hop in if they want.
That's what happened to me during the Playtest. I went to hunt Ray Dao solo, and after some time passed someone else joined the quest, despite me not using an SoS flare. Later on another person joined the hunt too. We downed the angry zappy boi and went our separate ways.
I didn't use the SoS flare during the playtest so I don't know exactly how it works in Wilds. I assume it probably just puts your quest at the top of the quest board with a special mark or something.
this sounds pretty cool, thanks for your explanation :-)
