We also getting Seregios tho, which should had been on the release as well. :p
I agree. At least I like to know a meaningful reason why those features were delayed.
I am okay with photo mode being delayed, weapon rebalances and Lagiacrus. But the tempered monsters and glowing effect do not seem like a big deal enough to delay.
The fact the game wasn't even more gutted than it was at launch is a feat of its own.
They have used monsters before with 1 single and they also count new star levels and archs and new monsters too. So good chance the only "new" monster is lagi
Insane how it took people months to figure out what I figured out right at launch
Its just not enough, this game should have released late 2025 or early 2026, they really rushed this out the door. Bellular made a nice video on it aswell, explains alot.
Capcom wants numbers, and they certainly got it. Game's still meh.
yeah this is the problem. they made bank on this game already... and they know full well when they drop the iceborne esque DLC people will come back again and make even more cash... unless they REALLY ♥♥♥♥♥♥ things SUPER HARD but i dont see them doing it twice in a row...
"Yo, Capcom. I'm sayin' this as a rookie that actually enjoyed Monster Hunter World, studying monsters, tracking footprints, getting lost in your beautifully crafted ecosystems and... you gotta get rid of the Seikret. Seriously, it kills the entire thrill.
It doesn’t stop there.
Back in World, every hunt was an investigation. You didn’t know what you were up against right away you had to search. You picked up tracks, scratches, mucus, whatever, slowly piecing it together like some monster stalking detective. It was tense.
That creeping dread of “what's out there?” was Metroid level atmosphere. Sometimes I’d be mining, fishing, just vibing in the map when BAM! the monster shows up. That was raw. That was Monster Hunter.
Now? I hop on the Seikret and it’s go-go-go. No searching. No tension.
No reason to explore or breathe in the world you built. It’s a glorified Uber that autopilots me to the monster and turns the whole thing into a theme park ride. Where’s the hunt in Monster Hunter?
It doesn’t stop there. The game’s way too fast and way too easy now.
And guess what’s at the root of that too? The Seikret. I remember struggling to take down Anjanath in World. It took prep, retries, getting my behind kicked a few times and man, the payoff was epic.
Now in Wilds, every monster is hand delivered and neutered. Every time I’m in danger? Seikret saves my ass. No risk. No stakes. No lessons learned from failing.
If you won’t axe the Seikret completely, then limit the damn thing. One escape per fight max. That way I’ve got to think: “Do I burn it now or tough it out?” That’s tension. That’s strategy. That’s the Monster Hunter we used to love. And PLEASE… stop with the time-restricted bull. What is this, a speedrun tournament? “Defeat Arch-Tempered Rey Dau in under 13 minutes”??
Are you kidding me? That’s not fun, that’s pressure. I like to savor the hunt—take in the environment, the world, the danger. I’m not here to race a damn clock. I never beat it under 13. Closest I got was 19, and honestly? I almost deleted the game out of pure frustration. Give us back the thrill, the fear, the feeling of actually hunting something monstrous... not just checking a box. Right now, Wilds feels like it's missing its wild.
Do better."
Now I kinda agree with this guy and I know many will say "well don't use the Seikret" but I don't know, what do you think?
