No issues here. So the issue is on your PC, not the game's fault.
No issues for everyone else who followed the game update routine - ergo: it is your personal issue.
After reading everyone confess they are using mods, I'm really just gonna assume all these people flooding the discussion with their blackscreen issues or w/e have mods installed
Business as usual.
I’m running a completely vanilla install—no mods at all—and the game crashes indiscriminately: in the title menu, mid-quest, everywhere. I just want to experience the events and enjoy the content I paid for, but it’s impossible.
This feels more like a beta than a finished product. No previous Monster Hunter title has ever been this unstable. I’m frustrated and disappointed—I paid for a complete game, and right now all I have is constant crashes. I want a refund.
I understand your issue and it's totally reasonable to be frustrated if you got issues while running a vanilla install, although the way you specifically are outlining that you are running a vanilla install makes me believe you've had mods installed before. Do you know in detail what changes in what files these mods do? I am not a mod or even tech expert, but it is easy to imagine mods screwing up some numbers in some data. Like, if you uninstall something, unless you are looking in every corner, there will usually be files left over from previous installations. SO I could imagine this being the issue, but as i said, just my imagination.
