If you have a 4070 super or above with a CPU to match, and you're a fan of the series, then sure, I'd strongly recommend it for $50 or less, but you'll probably get your money's worth.

I think it's the weakest entry of the franchise, performance is ♥♥♥♥, story is overbearing, it's lost a lot of the series core identity and would recommend world and even rise before it, but if you have the hardware to run it and you're dead set on playing *this* game in particular, it's a solid 6/10.

No, wait until they fix the game. IF they’ll even do it. Don’t listen to people who say there are no performance issues they are either paid shills or coping with buyers remorse.

Game runs like ♥♥♥♥.

I have RTX 4060 :D
I got it on a promotion as i assume they're selling off excess stock of the rx 7xxx series

You'll struggle to keep 60 fps at 2k with framegen and "performance" dlss, and game is going to look like a trainwreck. Do with that what you will.

There's a benchmark you can download, but be advised, half of it is a cutscene that will perform much better than gameplay, and even the gameplay segments it showcases are not representative of most fights.

Try It out and in case your PC cant run It(not your fault, the game runs like Absolute diarrhea) refund It under 2 hours of play time, if you are the kind of mh player that cares a ton about the endgame like me i would look that up online before buying.

it's worth it to play but...whether the game will run well is a different story
It's totally worth it and i have no regrets.

You have two achievements in Monster Hunter World, just play that if you want to get back in this genre? It has way more content than this, looks better visually than this and is overall the better choice gameplay wise.
It has some issues but ultimately it's still a very fun game worth getting.... Assuming you can even run it. Optimization is terrible and some people have nonstop crashes. Even once you get it running you gotta install REframework, remove disco ball reflections, and one of the mods to disable the lens distortion. If you don't install those 3, the game looks kinda ugly even though there's a pretty nice looking game underneath.

Actually Wilds does look better than World, you just need to disable some effects that make this game look extremely ugly like the lens distortion that makes the game look lower resolution than it is, and the gi reflections that are separate from ssr and look like disco ball barf

I will give you that as another user posted images with mods running which disables and, or removes unnecessary effects/visuals and it did seem like it looked better visually. But vanilla game? :GG_Pigman:

Yah, I don't know what Capcom was smoking with those effects. Its like night and day when you actually see it in game. They should at least have the decency to let us turn them off in the settings without resorting to mods.
Although REframework is basically a necessity because it improves performance.

Lol 4060. Save yourself from the disappointment. The game will look and run like crap on your PC. Game is also CPU intensive, so a minimum of 8 cores/16 threads is recommended.

Wait for a year or two and buy it when you have a better GPU with at least 12gb VRAM.

Aside from performance. Current content is kinda ok now that they patched in the final boss that can be grinded for one of the best armor and weapons.

Also, crapcom designed the game to have some FOMO crap, so you are gonna miss out on some armor and other limited rewards if you are not playing during limited events. Events do come back though after a while.
