#4. Rather than flash, it is easier to extend fights using luring pods. You can bring 3 of this and arm yourself when traveling from tent to initial spawn spot. Setting it into quick radial menu also works. It is easier than flash since you can just hit the monster at any spot on the body from any direction at moment the minimap circles turns white.
#5, you meant pitfall trap?
#6 Depends on weapons you used. Perfect guarding attacks also can be used to trigger Offensive Guard skill. This is a T3 deco which gives you 15% Damage + 1 extra small skill. For Lance, you also get auto-counter bash per hit you PG'ed. Then there's CB, SnS and GL. While LS, SA and DB also want to take hit sometimes to counter/trigger a special move. The only weapons probably recommended to dodge than guard probably only GS (until no aftershock) and HBG

Rather, I would tell new players to "Know your level" first tho. Despite the quest requirement is only HR50. AT Rey Dau will mercilessly one-shot you if:
* Not enough defense; Pick either thunder resist charm lv 3 or defense charm lv 5 (Yes, it can be upgraded to Defense Charm V).
* Not enough steadfast / stun resist: You will be stun comboed with the railgun if you can not tank at least 2 hits without being carted.
Then it is undeniable certain weapons type also are more/less favored against AT Rey Dau depending on number of party.
Hard to believe you forgot it is weak to ice.
Definitely a better choice than Paralysis... unless you struggle to hit a mobile target.
