Environment Link Region Transitions?

When will players be able to physically transition from region to region during an environment link?

I’m not asking for teleportation, im asking for map transitions. When a player enters a transition point on the map, they are forced to stay in the region.

When will players be able to traverse between regions at free will in multiplayer?

It is technically not possible with the Playstation 5, and considering how most players treat their PC on the forums not possible either for PC.
