MHWilds player count officially dropped below MHWorld
Less than 2,5 months after release, despite starting with 6x its player count (Steam charts aligned to release date)

In my opinion, the reasons for this are :
- Terrible 3 last maps, the snow map being the worst of the series
- Way less grind, rare loot doesnt exist anymore (guaranteed gems) and the farm is so busted you just need to rest 10 times in a row then your chest is full of every consummables
- No stat checks during the progression, you can just brute force with the base armor (defender gear effect from MHWorld, pretty sure its intended again)
- Non existant endgame loop, again nothing to grind for
- Terrible multiplayer system
- No more hunting aspect, Monster is on the map, press D pad up for seikret auto explore, you're already fighting the Monster.
- Reduced farming, no more grind, game showering you with rare loot and Seikret auto explore makes it feel like a fast food game.

Again I'm comparing both games at RELEASE, World had NO TITLE UPDATES when it released on PC.

I thought defender gear was added to help players ramp into MR in world?

*because World is a completed game

Players were crying about it, so they decided to be sneaky about it this time.

I kinda figured the developers didn't know how to balance the game. Its weird to me that you spend time unlocking LR and HR armor to eventually discard all of them for MR, its a shame the developers don't try different systems like upgrading armor similarly to weapons.

You just end up filling your box with junk or selling it just to get rid of it.

Yet another milestone for Wilds, best at losing players in Capcom's entire history!

NUM! BER! ONE!! NUM! BER! ONE!! WOO!!!

I'm very shocked that world, a game that just went on sale for $15-$30 at base, that has a finished title update cycle, that has an entire expansion, two siege fights, has a larger population.

Ppl did this a lot with rise too, it's just a very weird thing that doesn't really lend itself to any interesting critique ontop of the fact that of it being unimportant to game like this, it ain't sparking zero afterall.

I'm just waiting for updates that's why i ain't playing, and that's fine by me. Let's not forget that those are steam numbers only too, who knows how many players on consoles.

That works less because world was ported to pc after it's first 2 title updates came out, 2 months before it's third, so unless you have playstation numbers, you really can't do this comparison.

player number comparisons for games like this is, once again, meaningless anyways, just critique the damn game lmao

pretty easy to guess that console charts would follow the same trend.

The OP has critiques in their post.
I don't- sigh all I'm saying is to stop talking about player numbers because it's dumb and doesn't bolster your points, in fact, it makes them weaker because it requires knowledge and data to back them up because you're trying to back them up with some objective statistic.

I'm not going after any of their critiques because I just don't really care to do, people can their opinions, but when you try to use data you have no understanding of or how to even begin to parse, that ♥♥♥♥ drives me completely insane and I find it deeply irresponsible to do, borderline morally objectionable
