No Gathering boosts for plains and almost no meals from Maki

'ello there fellow hunter,

I've noticed that I never get gathering boost quests for plains and almost never get invitations for meals from Maki. In fact I don't get a meal from Maki even once in 20 times I get a meal from the others.

For the plains gathering boost quests, is it related in any way to not having completed the fishing line of side quests? Otherwise, I can't think of any reason except perhaps it being a bug?

Likewise, I recall someone else too having complained in the past about no meal invites from Maki (Basin).

Would any of you MH experts happen to know how I can fix these?

Not a bug. Just random. There were older threads which started with the opposite claims.
