Can you loadout for another weapon on one character?

Hey new player here is it possible i want to switch my weapon but keep my current build for any case. Is that possible I can do another loadout?

Absolutely.

Go to your tent, then the equipment screen. Press LS (or whatever it is for keyboard) to open the loadout menu where you can save up to 140 equipment loadouts.
