Yes, it's time limited.
However I believe only the regular event is going away next week, the time challenge will still be running if you need AT Ray Dau stuff

That is a pain. I'd rather they got rid of the challenge.

You don't have to play like a time trial. You still get the carves and rewards.

yes normal AT rey dau will disappear but the challenge quest will still be up for a while
Of course it is. Theres a reason why people call out Wilds for it's FOMO.

You also can get the armor tickets. The challenge quest is pretty much the same quest but it counts your time. :P

Can it be FOMO when they aren't trying to sell you something? Ain't like there is a battle pass or some time limited gacha character they are trying to use to get you to pay more money to speed things up.
this should rotate back in quite quickly, i dont see the point of the event version as the challenge version is nearly identical with a slay requirement instead.

Honestly I like the challenge version a lot more because of the grading.
Monster Hunter should have more graded quests as something to work towards.
Anyone can clear a quest, but not everyone can get A rank unless they get better at the game.
get the mod to save event quests.

Yes, you can. FOMO has nothing to do with pay walls neither it is tied to it.

Anyone can, in fact, get S rank on that quest.
Actually i was watching an average streamer getting S rank on the challenge with all weapons, and she's not even that good.

As a series vet, the elitism in this community is honestly pathetic.
Getting an A rank requires you to learn how to optimize your skills and use your weapon effectively. Sure it's not hard if you've played multiple MH, but for someone who's entering the series it's a pretty huge climb to get on that level. It promots learning far better than a wall does.

Nah. I don't do Slay quests unless they're the only way to get loot... and even then I don't carve, and I use mods to erase the record from my profile.
Free Challenge ATRD is just an inferior version of the Event ATRD. Can't capture, worse awards. I only did it for the stupid dangly things.

You'd have a point if it were any other quest... but A rank for ATRD Challenge is 13 minutes. 13 minutes. That should be C Rank, but apparently the bar has to be really freakin low this time. If anyone honestly has difficulty with it then they're probably doing something catastrophically wrong... like using the wrong element or manually walking all the way to thunderbowl on foot.

Funny you should say that, because that's basically what half of the randoms in lobbies are doing. :lunar2019crylaughingpig: But I do appreciate a more lenient time, since while Rey Dau scoops you into its wings from across the map, Doshaguma just funnels you into its backside and locks you there the whole time; it took too many tries to barely scrape by with the last Challenge Quest.
