Connection Error EW_31CF0 Connecting to friends lobby

I'm trying to connect to my friends lobby, but anytime I do, I get the error above. We can still play together if we join the same squad lobby, but I just cant join their lobby directly. Anyone else happen to encounter the same error? I've tried searching the web, but doesn't look like others got this error, or talked about it yet.
