SA's offset followup
Unlike the GS where I noticed it'll try to bring me to it's head and in range a lot more, I've noticed that the SA's a bit... it sometimes barely moves in for the followup and i just swing at air.

Just me? I feel like there's something weird about SA's followup being a lot shorter than I think compared to the GS unless it's just a coincidence.

If you are missing your offset followup, it's because you are swinging before you are close enough to hit the monster.

I have a similar feeling, whereas GS followup is a hit 100% of the time, SA followup is 80/85%. It's not bad though, and I feel like the times I'm missing is a problem in my positioning. Hammer though... *sigh*

probably this, GS didn't seem to have this problem so I'd just button mash my next input of either sword or axe, usually sword.

sometimes i'd accudentally press axe and start mashing for sword and it'd come out as sword which then leads to being really short of the followup.
