Any way to autoharm yourself with poison/similars?
As the title says, i'd like to know if there's some way to poison yourself or similar things.

you can poison yourself with the poiso plants in the junge or hurt yourself by not drinking a cool drink in some areas in the basin. standing near the lava in the lower areas without the proper gems will also hurt you.

But I think the only way to really hurt yourself without any enviroment help will be the bomgbs. Some people or speedrunner use the small bomb to get the i-frames after being sent flying
... Okay. I'll go into the game later and see if I can eat the purple mushrooms without mushroomancer... or the poisoned meat. I doubt it, but it is worth a try.

Closest thing I can think of are those poison cup plants they have in the middle of the Crimson Forest. They had those in World too. Used to get poisoned by them a lot.

I tried the bombs and do not affect players, and you can't eat shrooms... And when it comes to poisoned meat, I still have to try it xD

I have a nice berserker build and I can't use it because there's no autoharm in the game like in previous entries xD

wihtout mushroomancer the character just refuses to use any mushroom
using poisong meat will just put it on the ground as a lure

but i remember that the corrupted mantle will hurt you while wearing it and the gore set gives you the frenzy virus which will start to hurt you without doing enough damage, but is not a effective way, because you need a big monster in the area and just do nothing

Corrupted Mantle? Okay so it goes away the moment you actually hit something... but besides that it will continually drain your health until you do.

Corrupted Mantle doesn't work because "drains" the lifeforce, doesn't deal damage as it is, therefore there's no red back like it happens with poison xD

tried it aswell xDD

Corrupted Mantle doesn't proc resentment since there's no red bar, and the idea it's using 4 pieces of Nu Udra to make Resetment shine even more, so using frenzy it's not an option sadly xD

I suspect your only option is a Cheat Engine table or some sort of custom mod then. Something that constantly lowers health without lowering red health... or make it so a particular piece of equipment inflicts poison or fireblight on the player every 10 seconds or so.

Where's the fun in that? xD

It's kinda sad seeing that the game is as easy as it's restrictive... LET ME EAT MA SHROOM e.e

ah i see, you want to have a red bar, then poisoning yourself with the plants in the jungle or not drinking a cool drink in hot areas might be your only option.

There are also these dark hornets that will attack you if you destroy their nest or get close to the roaming ones and they can afflict you with poison, but they will ignore you mid fight and go for the large monster

Mostly in figuring out how to make it.
My personal signature move is to make CE tables for every Monster Hunter game I can which let me use infinite Barrel Bombs.... then to win entire fights with just Barrel Bombs. I even did it somewhat recently with MH3U emulated in Cemu.
In Sunbreak I did something even sillier and found the timers for the monster-riding system to allow infinite riding.... and then used an ordinary Kulu Ya Ku to take down max level Risen Crimson Glow Valstrax and Primordial Malzeno in a single hunt. It was insanely silly, but I love doing things like that. In fact I have made videos of a lot of it on my main account (or rather my Youtube account, linked to my main Steam account).
Modifying the game to allow unorthodox play-styles is great fun. It is just a shame there is such a silly taboo against this sort of stuff for Japanese games, to say nothing of multiplayer-possible games. There are far fewer options than I used in... say... Skyrim VR.
I've sended them a suggestion ticket, let's hope they have enough brain to read it and allow us to have a happy trip while fighting monsters xDD
Bombs also do the work.

The idea it's recieving damage over time like poison, allowing us to sustain the resentment passive + some other passives that work based on your health or if you have a status effect or not.
