After playing my fair share of the event mission with randoms, there are quite a few people that seem to struggle with some attacks or if it starts to chain a lot of hard hitters and I aggree with you, the game is quite similar in difficulty if you compare both games in low and high rank
Rey is easy, people who have problem with him most likely didn't upgrade armor or get some resistance against lightning. Knowing some people most likely still run around in first HR armor they have.
But he is not third hardest boss so far. That is just not true.
Personally I only have one real complaint about the ATRD fight: It is too fŭckin dark. I suspect it is just a default setting for the RE Engine since it was made for horror games. Dragon's Dogma 2 had the same basic issue with awkward lighting. Somehow the Rise team managed to circumvent it effectively..... but Wilds is another awful case where it is a nuisance just to see what is going on clearly.
We've generally got higher damage output and much lower survivability. In case you somehow missed it, the main reason most players use Blademaster weapons is because it lets them mindlessly face-tank attacks that could kill an inexperienced Gunner in one hit. i.e. They pick Bladey weapons because it takes less effort to survive than Gunner weapons. The flipside is that they spend over half the hunt just chasing the monster down to attack because their range is crap, so their damage output is inconsistent.
You're bringing up Heroics Speedrunner builds while trying to back up your claim that Gunner weapons "take less effort". Almost like you don't understand how much effort it takes speedrunners to be able to use those builds effectively. And it isn't like anyone else uses Heroics builds normally.
Like I said... you're just not thinking this through.
*shows a high-level execution by someone who is clearly a pro-tier HBG user*
The only reason why you would think this is braindead because you have no brains.
Waiting for you to upload a 5 minute video of it.
