A feature I dearly miss
I like the game and this is not a "How bad is this game" kind of post.
But recently I started to miss a feature we had in world and no1 is talking about:
Returning from a quest with your current group. In my over 1k hours of world I made a lot of friends that I randomly found in quests and we ended up doing multiple runs together -> add as friend -> sometimes we spoke on steam -> we became friends.
But the current implementation of wilds grand hub makes the game much more like a single player. You just go there find sos... you dont care about joining a specific lobby with people who are doing quests similar to yours. You just do SOS over and over and then your return to your lobby. The conditional lobby search doesnt even allow you to search a lobby by monster.

Anyone else noticed or is just me?

Notice what? You do not have to do SOS. You still can team up with others in lobby.

What are you talking about this is not "like a single player game" this IS a single player game, co-op is just a feature.
I play this game exclusively solo.

This game is classified as single player, coop, and multiplayer.
Why do you arbitrarily pick one of the classifications as the main one and consider the others to be features? Other people have only played the game with friends you know?

I dont even understand what are you saying this is a single player game, coop just a feature allowing you to play with other player, thats why they even give you support hunter to help you if you have trouble beating the monster.
Just because world makes it look like an MMO game doesnt mean monster hunter is a coop game.
Assassin creed brotherhood also has "multiplayer" as a genre on steam, but its not multiplayer game its a single player game with multiplayer as feature.

Multiplayer is the default intended playstyle. That is why the game by default puts you into a recommended lobby with other players. "Online Single Player" is literally the LAST option on the list. It is intended to be possible, but only as a substitute for the intended way of playing the game with others.
This isn't a Singleplayer Game with Co-Op features. This is a Co-Op game with Singleplayer features.

If the entire game can be completed and works perfectly while in singleplayer, it is hardly a feature.

Things are not black and white, the game can be both multiplayer and singleplayer aimed.

A feature would be, we have some crafting features or systems.

Some people can't.
It is less obvious than it used to be. I mean used to be that Hub content had no singleplayer scaling at all. That singleplayer content (Village Quests) and multiplayer content (Hub Quests) were explicitly separate, and all the proper high-end stuff was Hub-exclusive.
Even then though some people would solo the content that was explicitly scaled for multiplayer and there were even a few who would claim it had to be a singleplayer game because they could do it, even if over 90% of players couldn't.
Clown talk, basically.
Since World the series has been more Singleplayer-friendly... but it is still primarily intended as a Multiplayer experience.

Its literally a single player first then multiplayer game now.
If its Multiplayer based, then the HP of all monsters would be the same as the previous MH games then, where G rank had ~1.5-2x more HP than the single player mode had

Yeah I miss the more targeted lobbies with only a few people. You'd always get to talk much more somehow. Now you get in a lobby and 0 people talk, everyone just spams stickers. A lot of the time I'm in a lobby with many people who appear to be chinese. we do not even speak the same language.

Main issue i would say is that there is no "Make Lobby" but rather just straight up "you get tossed into a random lobby"
Honestly the guild cards in World looked better in my opinion. Wilds' cards look better than Rise's by a longshot, but it hurts when the sequel does worse than the prior title

With the way it's implemented they could've fooled me.
