How do I disable item bar jumping?

For whatever reason I often try to scroll through the item bar and it auto locks onto my slinger ammo. Often when I'm just trying to heal and it straight up costs me a cart. How do I disable this?

Shockingly enough, it is in game controls menu

I think this is happening because you're in focus mode when your weapon gets sheathed to drink a potion. Might be happening if you have focus mode set to toggle. Disabling auto-equip slinger ammo doesn't change this, and I'm not sure if you can.
