Brace does not do its purpose and
brace 3 and still being juggled around by team mates when not guarding can't attack the enemy or protect myself from attacks, Topping that off I can't even hold my shield up because duel blades users are burning my stamina .

Learns some team placement awareness rather than hugging that demon stance like its your only focus your having a skill issue but holding still and getting carted and dragging other ground fighting team mates with them.

Never heard of Flinch Free not working; are you sure it didn't get unequipped somehow? Also worth noting—I discovered this today—the Shockproof Jewel (Shock Absorber) is just 3 Blossomdance Tickets; I missed the window to get it cheaper before the Melding nerf and it absolutely wasn't worth ninety Decorations. :mkmandrake:
for shield based weapons, you unfortunately have a severe case of blocking teammates attack automatically even with FF i believe, best you could do is to be in a position to not have autoblock on such as attacking.

by shield based, i'm guessing lance

sword shield lance gun glance great sword charge blade granted but if you don't have the shield active you should not get juggled by a team mate while brace 3 is on I shouldn't even need to invest in 2 or 3 to see if they messed it up in this game you should only need brace 1 to keep yourself from getting smacked my other team mates ive been investing in brace since online , but at least it works in world and the rise port. theres a setting to turn off auto block for controllers

i believe the main issue with this is the auto block they've implemented, and since hbg/lance/gunlance (i think, i've not tried lance or glance) autoblocks on it's own with no way of turning it off ,that's the issue.

it's similar to what i believe to how IG use to be able to roll in kinsect mode, but it can only roll you left due to a bug in the beta, then they removed it entirely, again, from hearsay since I didn't get to try the beta after puking from the performance.

that sounds painful
From what I've read of the description from both Brace and Shockproof, I think Brace only prevents enemies' attacks from flinching you, while Shockproof only prevents teammates from flinching you.

In past games, Brace used to do both, but they split the deco into two in Wilds for some reason.

Even with max flinch free there are still certain teamate attack that will affect you (especially hammer), if you planing to play multiplayer always slot in shockproof it prevent any of your teamate attacks to affect you and also prevent any of your attacks to affect your teamate.
I play exclusively solo so i dont care about any of this stuff.
